Some Funny Sequences
Charles Prince is visiting the city with his wife and mother-in-law. He buys some lace for his girlfriend, but the women soon discover it and he pretends it is for the spouse.
I find many of the Charles Prince shorts directed by George Monca -- Rigadin was his character's name when he wasn't supporting superstar Mistinguett -- more puzzling than funny, because the lack of titles in the surviving copies make them obscure. The frustration of not knowing what is going on overwhelms any fun. Not this one! Because of the careful set-up, I was able to enjoy the three comedic sequences in this short.
