- Drama freaks out when Vince returns from rehab and the gang decides to throw a huge party to celebrate. Elsewhere, E and Scott's new company is thriving and Drama clashes with his animated show's costar.
- E (Kevin Connolly) and Scott Lavin (Scott Caan) decide to open their own agency, ditching their employer Murray (George Segal) (who was Sloan's godfather). Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui) and E are now broken up again, as Sloan's dad asked E to sign a prenup. And Sloan is fighting E to get him to get his stuff out of her place. Jennie (Janet Montgomery) is still E's assistant. Sloan sends back E's engagement ring, which cost $30K, in an envelope. E calls Sloan, but has issues with her answering machine and leaves an expletive laden message on her phone.
Scott and a now-single Eric try to sign clients to their management firm. E is angry that Vince (Adrian Grenier) has called everyone to come & get him from rehab, but not him. E finds from Scott that even got a call and that really riles E.
Having spent ninety days in rehab, Vince is ready to get back to work (He is still in line to do Air-walker, but has to do a drug test for insurance purposes, and shooting starts after a few months in March in Europe) and even has a new movie idea, but his friends are so desperate to prevent a relapse that they all tell him they love it, when they actually hate it. Vince wants to make a movie on the Romanian tragedy where 15 miners got stuck underground for more than month. The main character is an American who mortgages his house and brings his Labrador to dig for survivors.
Johnny (Kevin Dillon) makes sure that there is no alcohol or drugs in the house. Even Advil and cough suppressants are thrown out. He replaced the entire bar with non-alcoholic look-alike. Billy (Rhys Coiro) helps throw the right kind of welcome home party (with no booze) for Vince, and also makes Vince's bad idea into a good one, with Johnny starring in the project instead.
Lloyd (Rex Lee) tells Ari that he has been distracted at work ever since his separation from Melissa. Ari (Jeremy Piven) wants to end his separation with his wife Melissa (Perrey Reeves), only to learn that she has moved on. Ari wants to patch up as their separation is having a bad impact on their kids. Ari wants to come back home, but Melissa says that she has been seeing someone. Ari is heartbroken and leaves.
E confronts Vince, and Vince says that he is disappointed in E and that he needs E to focus on getting him a great year. E tells him that his movie idea sucks & also tells him that everyone else is lying to him. Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) can't take the pressure and lights up a weed, which later burns the house down. Vince tells everyone not to lie to him anymore. He says he knows that the entire party is fake, and all the booze is fake and even his friends are acting fake. He says he didn't do any coke, and he is not going to, and wants his friends, agents, managers to be honest with him. They all tell him that they hate his movie idea. Vince loves Billy's idea of Johnny doing the lead part in his movie idea. He assures everyone that he can adapt.
