In this episode, Diego (Flavio Insinna) has to solve a murder inside an antique store. He receives a tip that leads him to a hideout place of the suspect. Instead of finding the suspect, he finds the suspect's young son, Nicola, hiding in the closet. He then convinces him to come to the station to help him track down his father. Unfortunately, Nicola says that he hasn't seen his father in a while. While this is happening, Stella, her mom and the twins are out of the country on vacation. This gives Lorenza, Diego's ex-wife, a motive to ask Diego and Nicola out on a dinner date. Nicola takes a liking to Lorenza, much to Diego's dismay. Diego has Nicola stay with him for a while, and has even talked to the social worker about finding a home for him. Soon Nicola's father's brought in the station. Nicola gets really happy to see him, but then is disappointed when he is told the father will be in jail for a long time. Now, this is where the scene gets VERY heartbreaking. Diego, Lorenza, and Stella accompany Nicola to a home for foster kids. Nicola tells Diego, "Call me when you find me a home". At this point, Diego kneels down, and tells him, "I'll never forget you, I'll think about you always." He then embraces Nicola and even Lorenza is very emotional in this scene as well. I say this is definitely another award-winning moment for Flavio Insinna.
