Short film promoting Redd Foxx starring in the film "Norman... Is That You?" (1976). This was the popular comedian's first starring role in a feature film, after hitting a new career height in the TV series "Sanford and Son" (1972-1977). We learn Mr. Foxx started as a musician and has fun working with "Laugh-In" producer-director George Schlatter. "Norman" appears to be a film dealing with Foxx finding out his son is gay, but nothing is explicitly stated. Apparently, son Michael Warren and his "roommate" Dennis Dugan are suspicious roommates. The makers of this short seem hesitant to bring the subject out of the closet. The warm and wonderful Pearl Bailey is always nice to see. Tall and sexy Tamara Dobson (who played "Cleopatra Jones") also appears. She says Redd is a "fox". No argument.
