In this episode they design an outfit based on something in NYC used for inspiration.
When Michael chose statue of liberty I went like "oh no....". I was scared the judges will not like a very literal inspiration of the dress and will want something more abstract. Also he had issues while doing it, although I was hoping it was the way to fool us into believing he is out.
When he got out on the runway I was still not sure. I mean, I loved the dress. But I kept on wondering what the judges will find that is wrong. Like lack of color, simplicity, no abstraction etc. Luckily my fears were unnecessary as they loved the dress as well.
I enjoyed them telling who should go. Especially Mondo whom I love telling how he got friends with Michael and why he thinks he should go. big person. As the two of them were told they are in and got to hug each other in the back room I was crying!.
So April is out.Can understand why. When they were showing the outfits they made hers were really very much same style. I see she is an assistant designer in Urban Outfitters, which means I will likely wear some of what she does.
Still worried about the finale. Michael and Mondo are my favorites. Hope so much it will work out!
