To simulate van Helsing's accent, Love Bonnier spoke intentionally with strange grammar errors. He kept his accent while singing. His accent appears to disappear while performing "The Man Who Once Was", and then come back in the middle of the song. The reason for this might be that they edited in the soundtrack version of the song to achieve better sound quality. On the soundtrack, Bonnier did not use his accent. A proof of this is the fact that the accent is present in close ups, in other to achieve good lip sync. Another proof is the fact the sound quality of his voice is much lower than the other voices.
The movie is put-together by footage filmed from several performances of a Dracula musical created by students from a theatre academy. The musical was a huge hit, and the producers realized that a DVD release was in order.
A scene in the play featuring Jonathan talking to his employer and talking about his trip to Transylvania was edited out of the DVD for unknown reasons.
The male gypsy choir featured in "Pokol" and "In Service of the Count" are in fact played by the several of the actors playing lead characters such as Joakim Nyman, Love Bonnier and Märta Strokirk playing a man. Joakim Nyman also appears at the end as the gypsy who wounds Morris.
At the beginning scene and at the end scene the is a brief passage in the score that strongly resembles the music in Castlevania.
