Fist bumping didn't come in to being until the 1970's and an old man in 1969 was not going to be a trailblazer of this trend. Not a goof: Baseball Hall of Famer Stan Musial used the fist bump during the 1950-60s as an alternative to shaking hands to avoid picking up germs.
Douglas says "BooYah!" when they are out at the pool, but this expression was invented in the 1980s, while the show is set in 1969.
