Tax season is once again upon us, and financial expert Suze Orman stopped by The Grove to explain how you can improve on your tax situation by increasing exemptions on your W-4.
Orman said, "Hopefully, you're not getting a refund at all, and I'll tell you why. If you're getting a refund of $3,000, that's $250 a month -- you have credit card debt, wouldn't you rather be getting $250 extra every month and putting it right toward that?...

Suze Orman has been a financial guru and television personality for more than a decade, but she's only been out publicly since 2007. As a best selling author, TV host and friend of Oprah, Suze has managed to balance a successful career and personal life while staying out of tabloids or being known as what she refers to as "the money lesbian."

And I didn’t want people’s minds to be troubled by the fact that — you know, that I’m gay and I...

Own: The Oprah Winfrey Network may be struggling in the ratings but Discovery Communications CEO David Zaslav says he believes the channel just needs more time to connect with viewers. Some programs show promise. Welcome To Sweetie Pie’s is one bright spot — the show has averaged 388,000 total viewers and a 0.38 rating among women aged 25-54 in its Saturday time slot, but Zaslav points out the rating rises to a 2 in the African-American community. Sweetie-Pie’s follows a St. Louis soul-food restaurant run by former Ike and Tina Turner backup singer Robbie Montgomery. Additional episodes have been ordered and begin production this month. Our America with Lisa Ling has also posted double-digit growth across key demos and has averaged 405,000 viewers in its timeslot according to Own. A recent Our America about African-American men in prison also earned a drew a 2 rating in the African American community, Zaslav said. Future topics will include pageant kids,...
