- Lucinda Bridges: My father, while he did, you know, an incredible amount of film and TV, he felt her never... he never cracked the nut, he never got there.
- Susan Bridges: He's not a studied actor. He hasn't had a lot of acting lessons, But his life was his acting lesson.
- Jeff Bridges: I remember, early in my career, feeling very insecure about not feeling like the guy, you know, and saying, "Well, why did I get this part? I don't know why you hired me. I don't know what you're seeing in me, you know?" If you had that empty space, then you could fill that with whatever concept you want. It's fun to have concepts of yourself and mess around with that, But, as my mom said, "Remember, have fun and don't take it too seriously."
- Jeff Bridges: My M.O. is funny as far as picking projects. I really do my damnest to swerve. I really try hard to swerve. because I know what hard work making a movie is. For one thing, it takes me away from my sweetheart and my family, you know, my wife and my kids. You know, I know you go away and it's like you become a different person and I do have a bit of a dude in me and I consider myself kind of lazy, although when I look back in the rear view mirror, I see I've done a bunch of stuff, so I don't know how that all worked out.
- Beau Bridges: He's a renaissance man. He can do many many things. He's a wonderful artist with a lot of different mediums. You know, he's a potter, he can paint, draw and of course his music and his acting.
- Cybill Shepherd: A lot of actors think that they are in a baseball game and they're supposed to hit a home run every time. Acting isn't - isn't hitting home runs out of the park. Acting is a tennis game. If you hit that ball out of the court, you have no game.
