In this episode I've noticed something fascinating. The first 10 minutes were so bad that I honestly couldn't finish the episode. So I stopped and watch the other half the next day.
The second part of the episode was actually decent! So the obvious conclusion is that Val ruined the episode for the most part. We all already knew that she's pretty terrible. To make matters even more disappointing, Sophie's character seems to deteriorate whenever she's sharing a scene with Val. Although the protagonist doesn't stand out as great, things get even worse when she's paired up with her best friend.
Once again, Charlie steals the show, even if the script makes everyone else try to stop him. There were also some good jokes with Jesse saying 'I love you' to everyone. Ted vibes.
That's why I give a 2/10 for the first part and a 7/10 for the second one. Taking into account some indulgence, my overall rating for the episode would be 5 out of 10.
