"The View" has had its first big shake-up since Star Jones and Rosie O'Donnell left in 2006 and 2007. Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck are gone and Jenny McCarthy has joined the panel alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Shepherd and Barbara Walters.
McCarthy took the stage to loud applause and rousing cheers -- "I auditioned to be the new Batman and didn't get it," McCarthy quips.
When the talk turns to this "new" fad of twerking, which is not actually that new, McCarthy can't believe Walters and Goldberg didn't know what twerking was prior to this whole dust-up with Miley Cyrus.

Barbara actually made us laugh when she goes, "Do you remember when we didn't know words like 'twerk' and 'hashtag,' like last month?"

New York -- Gsn plans to broaden its brand by adding reality TV shows to its studio-based game shows. At its upfront presentation Wednesday, the cable network unveiled its first programming and development slate under executive vp programming Amy Introcaso-Davis. Kelly Goode, who during her three-year stint as Svp Programming at Game Show Network has overseen the boost in original programming that has resulted in double-digit demo ratings increases, has stepped aside from her executive post and inked a two-year development and producing pact at the network. The former Lifetime and CBS Productions programming exec had helped spearhead Gsn’s move into originals, bringing in the likes of Jerry Springer, Drew Carey, Sherri Shepherd, Wendy Williams and Norm Macdonald to host series and specials like The Newlywed Game and Love Triangle. The search is underway for a new programming boss, said Gsn president and CEO David Goldhill, who made the deal announcement today.
