As Dwight and his mother are traveling via automobile to New Orleans, the long shots of the car show it heading south on I-55 (which does run from Memphis to near New Orleans). However, the interior shots of the car, when Dwight and his mother are talking, the view out of the car's windows shows houses, buildings, driveways, and crossroads, none of which are present on a limited access highway such as an Interstate.
When Dwight is sitting in prison across from his father's killer, he takes out a wad of cut bills, asks the convict about it, and put the bills on the table. He then tears up the release agreement papers and walks away from the table. He never pockets the money and yet it cannot be seen on the table as Dwight is walking away.
