First up, we meet Neguin, the current break dance world champion. Neguin grew up in a poor neighborhood in Brazil, and has moved to New York for more opportunities in dance. But Neguin also just loves dance for dance's sake and he and his girlfriend surprise a few New Yorkers by staging a stunning dance performance in and around a New York subway station. We also meet Lilou, who lives in Lyon France. Lilou is of Algerian descent, and a proud Muslim, often competing in a "Don't Panic I'm Muslim" t-shirt. Lilou is one of the world's top B-boys, the only one to have won the world championship twice. Lilou has a busy schedule, traveling the globe with his career, but in a rare moment of free time spent with his wife and friends, we learn that he dreams of a simple life with his wife and maybe a family, that is far away from the B-boy scene. Finally we meet Roxrite, born in Mexico and raised in California. Roxrite is one of the most respected B-boys in the scene, though he is still haunted by the fact he has never won the world championship. Roxrite's goal is to do everything he can to mark his place in permanent B-boy history. A master of social media, Roxrite works on a high speed clip of his dance to post on the internet, and keep his name out there. In a conversation with his girlfriend Marisol, we learn that he dreams of opening a dance Studio for B-boys and is going to Florida to meet with a potential business partner.

Lilou is in Algeria, visiting with his extensive family. Though there to escape the B-boy scene, he is constantly surrounded by people who are excited to have a world champion in their midst. He talks to a cousin about maybe leaving the B-boy scene forever... Even the mayor of the town is excited to see Lilou and gives him an Algerian flag, which Lilou proudly wears as he walks through the streets with his fans. Back in New York, Neguin is thinking about Brazil, in particular his brother who passed away last year. Neguin has never seen his brother's grave and decides it's time. He returns to Brazil where he has an emotional reunion with his mom and family. At the event, Roxrite begins to question himself and doubt his own ability to compete at such a high level. After the competition he talks with Mex, who encourages him to get back to battling. He reminds Roxrite that he has won over 70 battles, and if he can win 100 battles, it will be a huge mark in B-Boy history. Roxrite makes an important decision... In Brazil, Neguin puts off visiting his brother's grave a little longer in order to see some of his old friends. But eventually, he and his sister go visit his brother's grave. Back in Lyon after his trip to Algeria, Lilou receives troubling news about his participation at the upcoming Red Bull BC One event in Moscow. Lilou doesn't dwell on it too long because he has to train for an upcoming event in Paris, where he meets with his old friend Soso who will be competing at this year's BC One. Lilou decides to help Soso train for the world championship in order to beat his rival Neguin. But down in Sao Paulo Neguin has also begun his training for the BC One. He is determined to get his second title. He trains with his good friend Andre and then later that night they go to an underground dance party, where Neguin dances the night away. He is feeling strong and ready for the competition in Moscow. Back in the States, Roxrite is chasing his 100 battles. At one of the battles he gets an offer to compete at the BC One. The BC One is the one title Roxrite has never won, the one feather in his cap he feels he is missing. Worried that he isn't in top form, Roxrite nonetheless can't say no to the opportunity, and vows to train harder than ever.

As the Red Bull BC One finals approach, Roxrite throws himself into his training. He is doing everything he possibly can to get ready, and when the day comes to leave for Moscow, he is feeling strong. All three B-boys arrive in Moscow, and immediately take off for an old underground Military bunker. Being the defending champion, Neguin is the star of a photoshoot, and Roxrite is excited just to be back in the limelight again. After the shoot, Neguin checks out the famous Red Square with another competitor and old friend, Flying Buddha. Neguin then goes into a church and lights a candle for his brother, hoping to win this championship in his honor. After a long training session, Lilou and Soso discuss the upcoming battle draw - where it is decided who will battle against who. Soso feels good with anyone but Roxrite, since their styles are so different. Meanwhile up in his hotel room, Roxrite is also nervous about the battle draw. He doesn't really care who he gets, he just hates the anxiety of not knowing. Finally, all the B-boys head downstairs, where they are greeted by the MC of the event - Rakaa. After welcoming them, Rakaa announces the battles ... Now there's nothing left to do but wait for the battles to begin.
