Steel, whose list of credits include 89 episodes of Rbt for the Nine Network, Taking On the Chocolate Frog for Foxtel.s Studio, Outback Coroner for Foxtel.s Crime & Investigation Network and Village Vets Australia for Foxtel.s Lifestyle Channel, joins the company in March. .

It was founded in 2014 by television producer John McAvoy. McAvoy.s credits include Kings Cross ER, Kalgoorlie Cops, The Memorial - Beyond The Anzac Legend, .What Really Happens in Bali as well as both Gold Coast Cops and Territory Cops.

John McAvoy is forming McAvoy Media, a joint venture with post production house Cutting Edge. Currently MD of Eyeworks Television Australia, McAvoy will depart next month to launch the production company. Eyeworks was acquired in June by Warner Bros which is now responsible for the sales and licensing of all Eyeworks formats and TV programs. Tim Winton.s cloudstreet and Selling Houses Australia Extreme were among the homegrown programs that did well at the Australian Subscription Television Awards last night in Sydney but Molly Meldrum stole the show when he presented Fox Sports with the award for channel of the year.
Showcase's cloudstreet won three awards, being for most outstanding drama, most oustanding performance by a female actor for Kerry Fox and best new talent for Lara Robinson. David Wenham was the third Australian actor recognised on the night: for his performance in TV1's Killing Time.
The Lifestyle Channel.s Selling Houses Australia Extreme was honoured in the section voted for by subscribers, winning the category for favourite local program and earning resident property expert Andrew Winter the crown for favourite male personality. Another Lifestyle personality, Donna Hay, was presented with the equivalent award for women.
The Amazing World of Gumball on the Cartoon Network...

The winners of pay TV’s annual awards have been announced with Fox Sports selected as channel of the year.
News Limited this week launched a bid to buy Consolidated Media, which would potentially double its stake in Fox Sports to 100%.
Viewers’ love of the property genre was obvious in the subscriber-voted categories with Selling Houses Australia, the show’s presenter Andrew Winter and the UK version of Grand Designs all getting nods.
The ceremony, organised by subscription TV body Astra, took place in Sydney.
