A Very Scary Movie thats both Original and Unpredictable!!!
TheMadBadScot30 July 2011
I was fortunate enough to have been invited along to an early sneak preview screening of this movie in LA a few weeks back and I was completely blown away. From the word go I was totally and utterly welded to my seat. The storyline takes you on a heart stopping journey deep into the mind of a mentally ill soldier as he returns home from Afghanistan a totally changed man. Upon his return he rapidly loses control of reality and when his younger brother is advised to leave the house because he is no longer safe to live with him, the film becomes almost unbearable to watch as he slowly begins to turn against his own family. I found the storyline to be very original indeed and totally unpredictable. You never know what's coming next. I thought the performances were fantastic from all of the main cast members and the direction was both provoking and indeed terrifying with some very unique twists and turns throughout. For me this was hints of Falling Down meets Psycho meets Misery. A very scary movie for those who enjoy Thriller and Suspense and a must see for all Scottish Movie fans. I very much look forward to seeing the next feature film instalment from Scottish Filmmaker Lee Hutcheon.

Warning: Spoilers
Hey everyone, I just had to share my thoughts on this terrible movie I was unfortunate enough to watch last night. Let me start by saying I love a good movie, and I'm always up for trying something new, but I have to say, this one was a major disappointment. 😔

First of all, the acting was just horrendous. It felt like the actors were just phoning it in and didn't put any effort into their performances. It was like they were reading lines off a cue card and had no real emotion behind their delivery. I couldn't connect with any of the characters because their performances were so lackluster.

The plot was all over the place and made absolutely no sense. It felt like the writers were just throwing in random events and twists without any thought or coherence. I kept waiting for it to all come together and make sense, but it never did. It was just a jumbled mess from start to finish.

The special effects were laughably bad. I'm not usually one to nitpick about CGI or practical effects, but in this movie, they were just unbearable. It was like they used a budget from the 80s and didn't bother to update anything. It felt cheap and amateurish, and it took me out of the movie every time they tried to use any kind of visual effects.

The dialogue was cringeworthy at best. I found myself rolling my eyes at the cheesy, cliché lines that were being delivered with no conviction whatsoever. It was as if the writers had never actually heard real people speak before and just made up what they thought people might say in certain situations. It was painful to listen to.

I'm genuinely shocked that this movie even made it to the big screen. It's a prime example of everything that can go wrong in filmmaking. From the acting to the writing to the effects, it was just a disaster from beginning to end.

I genuinely wish I could get back the time I wasted watching this travesty. I would strongly advise anyone and everyone to steer clear of this movie at all costs. It's not even worth a watch for a good laugh at how bad it is.
