Update: Disney has shared an image of Jeff Bridges taking a look at the Tron: Ares script, and that can be seen at the bottom of this article.
The original article follows:
The long-awaited third entry in the Tron franchise is finally in production. Six years after it was first announced that Jared Leto was in talks to star in a Tron project called Tron: Ares, the movie was all set to start filming last August – but then it had to wait out the writers and actors strikes. With those strikes over, filming is finally underway. Earlier today, we heard a quote from cast member Cameron Monaghan (Gotham), who said this film will “really push forward what can be done, from a visual perspective.” Now, we have another quote about the movie – and this is the one that every Tron fan has been waiting to hear. A quote that confirms...

Disney’s “Space Mountain” has been reignited.
Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec, whose credits including “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” and the two Michael Bay-produced live-action “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” films, have been hired to write a new screenplay based on the beloved Disney Parks attraction, TheWrap has learned.
Jonathan Eirich from Rideback is producing the feature, along with Joby Harold (who wrote an earlier iteration of the project) and Tory Tunnell of Safehouse. Ryan Halprin of Rideback is executive producing.
The original Space Mountain opened as the centerpiece of the Magic Kingdom’s version of Tomorrowland in 1975, part of the expansive Walt Disney World resort outside of Orlando, Fla. The ride is known for its strikingly graphic design — comprised of a cone and spires that jut heavenward (and can be seen as part of John Hench’s early concept art) — and its thrilling, coaster-in-the-dark aesthetic. A version of...

Disney is moving forward with another movie based on a beloved theme park attraction. This time it’s Space Mountain. The film will join the likes of Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise and The Haunted Mansion as Disney seeks to expand its theme park attractions into movies and licensed products.
While the movie has been in development limbo for quite some time, it’s being resuscitated by the showrunners of Netflix’s short-lived live-action Cowboy Bebop series which… was a thing.
Per The Hollywood Reporter…
Action scribes Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec are going to Disneyland.
The prolific team behind Amazon’s high-profile spy series Citadel and showrunners on Netflix’s adaptation of Cowboy Bebop, have been tapped to write Disney’s live-action adaptation of Space Mountain.

Disney is once again trying to make a "Space Mountain" movie happen. This is one of the company's most cherished theme park rides as a staple of both Disneyland and Disney World for decades. Now, a pair of new writers have been brought on board to try and crack the code with this long-gestating adaptation. Whether or not they will be the ones to get it across the finish line is another question entirely.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec have been tapped to write the latest iteration of "Space Mountain" for Disney. Plot details are being kept under wraps for the time being. Applebaum and Nemec are known for their work on Amazon's wildly expensive series "Citadel," as well as Netflix's live-action "Cowboy Bebop" series, which was canceled after just one season. Updated, 9:38 Am: Tomorrowland is on the horizon.
The Anaheim City Council gave its unanimous approval early Wednesday to Disneyland Forward, the $1.9 billion, multi-decade Disneyland expansion plan. The 7-0 vote came early today after an eight-hour public hearing that started Tuesday night, during which Anaheim residents, Disneyland cast members and officials from nearby cities spoke about the plan’s advantages and problems.
The proposal, which would expand development and add hotel rooms to the theme park by redeploying some 57 acres of parking and unused land, heads for a final City Council vote on May 7. It would allow for more attractions, lodging and other entertainment and attractions without expanding the theme park.
“When Disneyland grows, Anaheim thrives,” Mayor Ashleigh Aitken said in a statement. “Last night’s vote to approve the DisneylandForward Plan will benefit Anaheim for decades to come. The plan will provide important funding to the City of Anaheim to build affordable housing,...

"In the vastness of space and time, many tales weave into one, under the light of a thousand suns." There's an exciting original sci-fi series about to launch next week. A Thousand Suns is the latest creation from a filmmaker known as "Macgregor", produced by a company called Blackmilk Studio. There's not much out yet about the plot or the different stories. There will be a total of six anthology episodes to watch: Episode 1 - Ice; Episode 2 - Red; Episode 3 - Exodus; Episode 4 - Deal; Episode 5 - Bug; & Episode 6 - Tomorrow Land. Macgregor says his team of filmmakers, including Ruairi Robinson & Tyson Wade Johnston, worked to craft "films that serve as a gateway to our hopes, dreams... and nightmares." This seems like a sleek live-action anthology series akin to Love Death + Robots that will tell various sci-fi stories. I'm really digging the footage in this teaser, and will be...

It isn’t every week that two of the biggest jobs in film are filled within a matter of days, but that was the case last week. On February 26, Disney’s live-action president of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production Sean Bailey exited, making way for Searchlight’s David Greenbaum to take the top job. Two days later on Feb. 28, Rideback’s Dan Lin was tapped to take Scott Stuber’s open seat atop Netflix’s film division.
Greenbaum made his bones on prestige indie films and original, auteur-driven stories. He’s now taking the job at a company that has spent the last 15 years mining IP and playing the hits. Lin is a franchise builder now stepping into an environment known for chasing big prestige swings.
It appears Disney and Netflix are heading in opposite directions. One agent who spoke with IndieWire called it a role-reversal between Disney and Netflix; at one point,...

When Bad Bunny dropped his first-ever album X100PRE, it spread through the internet like good gossip. It was Christmas Eve in 2018, the same year that Bad Bunny had exploded as a global megastar — appearing on The Tonight Show and singing during Alesso’s set at Tomorrowland — despite being an independent artist with no full-length project under his belt. What he did have was nearly hundreds of successful trap hits and a following he had named “La Nueva Religión,” which would go on to make him the most listened to...

Monsters have been representing primal fears since time immemorial, and the best of them are capable of adapting to evolving societal fears. From werewolves occasionally becoming metaphors for puberty to zombies going from supernatural slaves to viral consumerism, there’s plenty of multifaceted creatures to choose from. That’s why it’s fitting that the King of the Monsters himself has seen so many wildly different variations over the years.

Adapted from Anthony Doerr’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, Netflix’s limited series “All the Light We Cannot See” sets two unlikely kindred spirits on a collision course as World War II begins in France when Germany occupied the country. Shawn Levy directed all four episodes of Steven Knight’s scripts.
Marie-Laure LeBlanc (Aria Mia Loberti) and Werner Pfennig (Louis Hoffman) share curiosity and empathy, which translates across their opposing countries and positions in the war. Werner’s skill for fixing and translating radios leads him to a high position in the Nazi effort to decode secret broadcasts that their targets might send. Marie-Laure herself becomes a broadcaster after her father moves her to her uncle’s home in a small, seaside French town.

I think Walt would be grumpy.
This is the week when the media celebrates the Magic Kingdom’s 100th birthday, but Walt Disney were around today, I think he’d cringe at the state of guild negotiations, fights with politicians and jumps in theme park prices (or streamer fees).
Having gained immortality for entertaining kids, he might still agonize about the major new commitment to sports betting made through ESPN, a Disney asset.
As one of the few people still around who actually spent time with the shy and media-averse studio pioneer, I found myself reflecting this week on those topics that Walt liked (and disliked) talking about.
I’m a fairly good note-taker, and as such I can report precisely what he was excited and angry about in December 1965 – one year before he died. Although he looked a bit weary and struggled with a chain-smoker’s cough, he had...

Los Angeles, Aug 20 (Ians) Paris Hilton has hit back at her “haters” that stood at the front of a crowd at a music festival that she was performing at. The socialite-come-dj performed a set at Tomorrowland – a Belgian electronic dance music festival held in Boom, Flanders.
The “haters” reportedly held up a sign which accused Paris of not performing her set live, and claiming that she was instead playing a pre-recorded mix of her music, reports Mirror.co.uk.
“This is dedicated to the two haters at the front, holding up signs saying that I’m not playing live. ‘Cause honey, yes I f***ing am,” she said in response to the sign. “Sorry I’m a girl, I’m hot, I’m blonde. We can do everything. Go hate on someone else.”
She then added the caption: “Slaying @tomorrowland,” followed by a series of pink emojis. As per Mirror.

Among fans of all things spooky, Spooky Season -- the extended holiday period leading up to Halloween -- is generally recognized as beginning on July 5, since Halloween is the next major commercial holiday after Independence Day. Disney seems to have embraced this idea with the release of "Haunted Mansion," a family-friendly spookfest based on the Disney parks attraction, directed by Justin Simien ("Bad Hair") and starring Danny DeVito, Rosario Dawson, Owen Wilson, and Jamie Lee Curtis.
Unfortunately for the ghosts and ghouls of "Haunted Mansion," the movie had two things working against it: a bloated $150 million budget, and a release date slotted for the weekend after Barbenheimer, the surprise team-up of Greta Gerwig's "Barbie" and Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer" that has blown the box office away. Earlier this week, projections for "Haunted Mansion" pointed to a $30 million opening weekend, but after the movie grossed just $9.9 million on Friday including Thursday previews,...

“Barbenheimer” fever shows no signs of slowing down. The combined forces of Warner Bros.’ “Barbie” and Universal’s “Oppenheimer” are setting up another huge weekend at the box office, but Disney’s new release “The Haunted Mansion” will have to settle for third place.
The kid-friendly horror film made $3.1 million in Thursday previews at the box office. “Barbie,” meanwhile, made $21.2 million on Thursday alone, bringing its domestic total after its first week to $258 million; “Oppenheimer” made $10 million on Thursday and has a $127 million first-week total.
Directed by Justin Simien, who made “Dear White People” and the horror comedy “Bad Hair,” “The Haunted Mansion” is the latest movie inspired by a Disneyland theme park ride (which range from successes like the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise and “Jungle Cruise” to the more forgettable “Tomorrowland” with George Clooney).

And the Summer of product adaptations and remakes continues! Last weekend Barbie just about blew the doors off the box office and the multiplex in a virtual tsunami of pink perfection. Hey, if a toy can revive the ticket sale doldrums, why not a flick based on a ride from the Disney theme parks? After all, those Caribbean Pirates spurred quite a profitable “tentpole” for the studio. But then there were costly flops like Tomorrowland and who remembers The Country Bears (maybe they just needed that “nose candy”). Well, this concept was exploited nearly twenty years ago, so this is also, technically, a remake (without any of the main human characters from the first time). Perhaps the modest success of the other remake a few months ago, The Little Mermaid, is lifting the “ahem” spirits of the mouse house. So, even though Halloween is months away, are filmgoers in the...

Disney’s interest in making films based on its theme park attractions stretches back to 1997 and the now-forgotten Wonderful World of Disney TV movie, Tower of Terror. Since then offerings like Jungle Cruise, Tomorrowland, and of course the one time it worked, the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, have all made it to the screen with varying degrees of success. And with each outing, filmmakers have tried to impose traditional narratives on experiences that are more sensory and immersive than story-driven.
Still, one of the most enduring attractions at many of the Disney parks, the Haunted Mansion, would seem to be a natural for a cinematic adaptation. However, the first attempt in 2003, which starred Eddie Murphy and directed by Rob Minkoff, was a critical disaster and only a tepid box office performer (it’s since gotten somewhat of a reassessment). Still, Disney is always one to try and try again.

Two Friends Edm music duo Eli Sones and Matthew Halper recently revealed that Fyre Festival promoter, Billy McFarland contacted them about performing at a future Fyre Festival.
McFarland’s 2018 Fyre Festival infamously became known as the dumpster fire of music events when McFarland promised hundreds of concert-goers the luxury music festival of a lifetime – and it turned out to be a total con. McFarland ultimately pleaded guilty to defrauding investors, was fined $39 million, and served four years in prison.
Since his release, he’s promised to do Fyre Festival the right way. However, finding strong acts may be pretty tough.
Two Friends wouldn’t consider doing Fyre Festival
McFarland hinted in the press that Fyre Festival 2.0 could be in the works and Two Friends confirmed that the disgraced promoter contacted them.
“Funny enough, I would say probably not,” Sones told Showbiz Cheat Sheet about the possibility of playing Fyre. “But he actually did.

20 years before Disney's latest attempt at a Haunted Mansion movie, the studio tried and failed to recreate the magic of the theme park ride.
This July, Disney is releasing "Haunted Mansion," an adaptation of one of its most beloved theme park attractions. The company has been trying to get this project off the ground for well over 13 years, with Guillermo del Toro, a Haunted Mansion superfan, at one point attached to direct. Justin Simien of "Dear White People" and "Bad Hair" fame is helming the finished project, and the comedy horror features a starry cast including Lakeith Stanfield, Rosario Dawson, and recent Oscar winner Jamie Lee Curtis. Amongst canceled or otherwise departing series on Emmy nominations morning, Succession prevailed as expected, leading the pack as an Outstanding Drama Series contender with a staggering 27 total nominations.
The tally is the largest scored to date by the Machiavellian HBO family drama, which last year came in with 25 and has won 13 since 2019. Succession also made history today as the first show to nab three Drama Actor slots — for Jeremy Strong, Brian Cox and Kieran Culkin.
Among the other major players this morning, in the area of departing series, was Apple TV+’s Ted Lasso, which perhaps doesn’t entirely fit in the category given a degree of ambivalence expressed in the media amongst its creators as to the prospect of further seasons, even as they’ve proclaimed that the acclaimed comedy was conceived as a three-season story. The long-awaited third entry in the Tron franchise is really picking up steam. Six years have gone by since it was first announced that Jared Leto was in talks to star in a Tron project called Tron: Ares, but things really started to come together around Leto earlier this year. First, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales director Joachim Rønning signed on to direct the film. A couple months ago, we heard a rumor that Cillian Murphy might be reprising his Tron: Legacy role to be the villain in this film. Earlier this week, Evan Peters of Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story joined Leto in the cast. Now The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that Greta Lee (Past Lives) will be playing “a leading role” in the film, while Variety reports that Jodie Turner-Smith (Queen & Slim) has also been cast.

Watching the first few episodes of "Mrs. Davis," you may find yourself wondering, "Is this show even about anything?" And not in a bad way either, as counterintuitive as that might feel.
Forget dipping one toe into the pool at a time; creators Tara Hernandez and Damon Lindelof plunge you head-first into the show's bizarre sci-fi setting. Its pilot merrily skips from a baffling prologue — itself like a Ridley Scott historical epic inexplicably filled with the cartoonish gore of a Monty Python skit — to sub-plots involving a castaway (and his cat) on an island, jam-making nuns, civilians governed by a seemingly omniscient AI, and German soldiers who feel lifted out of "The Big Lebowski."

After several Covid lockdowns and closures, the “Shanghai Disneyland” theme park in China, a 2010 joint venture between the Walt Disney Company and the Chinese government, confirm they are open for ‘magic kingdom’ business:
“Due to the current pandemic situation, “Shanghai Disney Resort” including ‘Shanghai Disneyland’, ‘Disneytown’ and “Wishing Star Park will be temporarily closed.
“We will continue to monitor the pandemic situation and consult local authorities, and will notify guests as soon as we have a confirmed date to resume operations. We apologize for the inconvenience and will provide refund or exchange for all guests impacted during this period. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! Following a deal signed in 2010, the park opened June 16, 2015 covering an area of 1.5 sq mile, costing 24.5 billion, with Chinese investors holding 57% and Disney holding the remaining 43%.

Chris Sanders is in final negotiations to voice the character of Stitch in Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Tia Carrere, who originally voiced Nani in the first film, will also play the newly-created Mrs. Kekoa, while Amy Hill will star as a new character named Tūtū.
Sanders, who wrote and directed the original feature alongside Dean DeBlois, voiced the creature, which he also created, in the 2002 Lilo & Stitch, as well as Lilo & Stitch: The Series (2003-2006). Sanders has been rumored to return as Stitch for years, but in a 2022 interview with Syfy Wire, he said he hadn’t been officially approached by the studio.
Newcomer Maia Kealoha is playing Lilo, while Sydney Elizebeth Agudong is playing Nani. Kahiau Machado was cast as David Kawena last week, but has since been recast with Kaipot Dudoit. During Disney’s vetting process, previous posts in which...

I never thought the words “Nuns vs. AI” could be said, but here we are. Peacock original “Mrs. Davis” is original and amusing. The fear of the internet never looked so fun before. Damon Lindelof uses comedy to give us a “be aware of artificial intelligence” sign, and frankly, it’s pretty great. Before we get into the actual show, our compliments go to Susie Coulthard for the gorgeous Nun “costume” worn by Simone. Now, let’s get into it.
Spoilers Ahead
What Happens In Episodes 1 And 2?
In 1307 Paris, the watch burns a group of priests at stake for heresy. The city believes they are the Knights Templar, the Catholic military order. But in truth, the Knights Templar—a group of female nuns who are overzealous in protecting the Holy Grail—is accused of having consorted with the Templars by soldiers who can’t imagine women can do the protecting.

Sci-fi writer Damon Lindelof has made quite the name for himself since he's arrived on the scene, tackling incredibly popular material such as the hit show "Lost", Ridley Scott's "Alien" prequel "Prometheus," and most recently HBO's brilliant sequel series "Watchmen." Should anyone still be on the fence about Lindelof's talents after some high-profile misses like "Cowboys & Aliens," "Star Trek Into Darkness," and 2015's "Tomorrowland," well, I implore you to check out his work on "The Leftovers," which has earned him the benefit of the doubt for the foreseeable future as far as I'm concerned.
The next item on Lindelof's agenda, however, appears both of a piece and miles apart from his previous output. Peacock suddenly seems like the belle of the streaming wars ball, riding high off the success of Rian Johnson's "Poker Face" series. Now, the streaming service is partnering up with Lindelof on its most out-there premise yet.

A couple weeks ago, the Peacock streaming service unveiled a teaser trailer for their upcoming series Mrs. Davis, which is set to make its premiere on April 20th… and that teaser really didn’t show us anything from the show. Thankfully, a full trailer for Mrs. Davis has now arrived online, and this one actually gives us an idea of the what the show’s tone, characters, and story are going to be like. You can check it out in the embed above.
We have heard that Mrs. Davis is an exploration of faith vs. technology, an epic battle of biblical and binary proportions. Gilpin plays Simone, a nun who goes to battle against an all-powerful Artificial Intelligence known as Mrs. Davis.
Damon Lindelof is writing and executive producing Mrs. Davis with Tara Hernandez, who serves as showrunner. Also executive producing the show are Eugene Kelly and Owen Harris, who...

Betty Gilpin starred in the thriller The Hunt, which was co-written by Damon Lindelof, and now she and Lindelof have teamed up again for the Peacock streaming service series Mrs. Davis, which is set to make its premiere on April 20th. With that premiere date drawing near, a teaser trailer for Mrs. Davis has arrived online – but don’t expect to learn much about the show from this teaser trailer. A lot about the series is still being kept under wraps. But if you’re interested in being teased, the trailer can be seen in the embed above.
According to Deadline, “the teaser is described as a high concept featurette that introduces Mrs. Davis to viewers and invites them to join her quest. The 30-second clip appears to show people from across the globe being handed an earpiece as someone tells them ‘she wants to talk to you.’“

Disney has had some serious success turning its theme park attractions into movies. Specifically, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise turned into one of the biggest in the studio's history, with more than $4.5 billion worth of box office to show for it across five movies and 20 years. Unfortunately, it has been tough for the Mouse House to replicate that success, as other theme-park-to-silver-screen plays have not been quite as successful. To that end, 2015's ambitious sci-fi flick "Tomorrowland" failed badly to bring the futuristic land from the Disney theme parks satisfyingly to the big screen.

The "Ant-Man" movies have always been kind of an outlier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They tend to focus on everyday people reacting to larger-than-life comic book stories. After over a decade of Marvel movies, most of them have escalated to the point where their characters don't feel like just regular people with superpowers anymore, the way they do in the comics, but the "Ant-Man" movies always did. The supporting cast is comprised of regular citizens who are not related to the superhero life, so when the superheroic battles and mayhem arrives, it always felt dangerous and important.
That was until "Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania," by far the biggest, weirdest movie in the trilogy, and one that trades fun wacky grounded characters like Michael Peña's Luis for a bunch of sci-fi creatures that look straight out of a "Rick and Morty" episode. Fresh off the smashing success of “Avatar: The Way of Water,” Disney will bring a new “Avatar” experience to Disneyland. The announcement was made by CEO Bob Iger during the company’s first-quarter earnings call, with further details to be announced at a future date.
Pandora – The World of Avatar, an immersive land featuring two high-tech attractions (Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey), opened at Animal Kingdom in Florida’s Walt Disney World in 2017. “Avatar” filmmaker James Cameron and producer Jon Landau oversaw the opening of the Florida attractions, but it’s not immediately clear how involved they will be in the Disneyland experience.
“Avatar: The Way of Water,” Cameron’s long-awaited sequel to the first “Avatar,” opened in December and has since grossed over 2 billion at the worldwide box office. Three further sequels are on the way, with “Avatar 3” due to open in 2024.

So-called "Hollywood accounting" is a tricky business, one with a long history going back to the days of John Wayne. Studios love to shuffle their money around, playing around with their financial ledgers until some movies seem profitable, while others appear to put them in the red. When all is said and done, a movie's profitability -- at least, as far as shareholders are concerned -- may or may not have any correlation to the film's actual box office stats. Then there's the fact that profitability and box office stats don't necessarily have anything to do with a film's overall cultural impact; plenty of movies have garnered massive fanbases slowly over time, rather than raking in enough money by some deadline to appear as a positive line item on a studio's yearly report. Especially in the Covid-19 era, where massive-budget movies end up on streaming while they are still in theaters,...

Babylon is Damien Chazelle’s rocket-powered dive into the early days of Hollywood, decorated with orgies, elephant faeces and cocaine. There is spanking. Bacchanalian dancing. Chairs tossed through windows. And that’s all in the first 15 minutes. La La Land, Chazelle’s Oscar-winning, Bambi-eyed paen to artists, poets and the “fools that dream”, would drop dead from fright if it ever came face-to-face with it.
Tailor-made to divide audiences, this debauched drama – and a clear repudiation to those who once accused Chazelle of being too sentimental a director – puts a bullet in the head of any notion that the film industry’s silent era was ever austere or quaint. This was a frontier time, where the art of cinema was built from the ground up with zero rules and very little restraint. It was a place where the soul-sick and hungry could reinvent themselves, but not without considerable personal cost.

To call Damon Lindelof ambitious feels a bit like saying James Cameron has a soft spot for the ocean. Shows like "Lost," "The Leftovers," and "Watchmen" have seen the writer and producer wrestling with all manner of daunting topics, from America's legacy of white supremacy to the very meaning of existence and the effects of collective trauma. On the film side, Lindelof has even dared to try his hand at reinventing franchises as legendary as "Star Trek" and "Alien," with polarizing yet undeniably interesting results (to say nothing of his efforts on big swings like "Cowboys & Aliens" and "Tomorrowland").

Yesterday, news broke that Damon Lindelof, co-creator of hit shows like “Lost” and “The Leftovers,” was working on a new “Star Wars” feature film, to be directed by Oscar-winning documentarian and “Ms. Marvel” director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.

Thanks to a pair of movies featuring some of the world’s biggest movie stars, the domestic box office came alive after a tough fall.
DC and Warner Bros.’ superhero pic Black Adam flew to the top of the weekend chart with a promising 67 million to mark the biggest domestic opening of Dwayne Johnson’s career outside of the primary Fast & Furious franchise. (Johnson’s previous best was Hobbs & Shaw, which launched to 60 million.)
While 67 million would usually be considered a relatively modest start for a big-budget superhero pic, Johnson’s movies are known to have especially strong multiples, which Black Adam will need to cover a production budget in the 195 million to 200 million range, including reshoots.

For as prolific as he's become over the last 20 years, composer Michael Giacchino has done a bang-up job of not repeating himself too much. Oh sure, some of his film and TV scores stand out more than others, but for the most part, he tends to embrace a fresh sound with each individual project.
Consider, for example, the playful romanticism of his "Ratatouille" score, his whimsical yet tear-jerking melodies for "Up," or the way his ethereal music for "Inside Out" appropriately runs the gamut in terms of its emotions. Then there's his soundtrack for "Tomorrowland," a piece of music that captures the sensation of going on a whirlwind adventure better than the actual film. Similarly, his exhilarating "Star Trek" movie scores stand in contrast to his broody, operatic leitmotifs for "The Batman" or the way his "Planet of the Apes" music blends epic orchestrations with those that are far quieter and more introspective in nature.

Lele Pons is known for her quirky personality and infectious smile, but the YouTube star also wants to show how her looks have changed for the better throughout the years.
Lele showed that she could make fun of herself in the clip.
She began with false teeth as she stuck out her stomach and wore a bikini. Her bikini featured a paisley-patterned top and black bottoms. Behind Lele were a gorgeous clear pool, lush greenery, and two sunbathers in orange lounge chairs.
Lele motioned off camera, inviting someone to join the frame, and that someone was her mom. Lele hugged her mom and continued to stick out her belly.
It may have confused viewers why she poked her stomach out and wore false teeth, but the reason quickly became evident.

Many people throughout the years have been referred to as “Disney Legends,” usually based on their close proximity to the company or for working on multiple projects with them. But starting in the late 1980s, becoming a Disney Legend was something that would actually happen – you’d get a statue and a golden, lifetime ticket to all of the Disney Parks and your handprints would soon be immortalized in Legends Plaza, an area on the Disney Lot in Burbank (formerly the reflection pool for the masterful Team Disney Burbank building designed by postmodern architect Michael Graves). In recent years, a lavish ceremony has been added to the D23 Expo, the all-Disney version of Comic-Con, that happens every two years in Anaheim.

Today is Independence Day in the United States, my homeland, but I don’t feel much like celebrating — everything in America is too grim these days. My adopted home of the United Kingdom seems hellbent on following in the US’s footsteps, so things aren’t much cheerier here, either. It’s difficult to find much hope for the future on either side of the Atlantic at the moment.
Movies aren’t much help. Our pop culture is very good at imagining the worst that can happen: dystopias and apocalypses prevail in our collective imagination. It’s almost impossible to think of a movie (or a TV show) that is uniformly optimistic: even the Star Trek franchise has taken a dark turn in recent years. Just about the only movie of recent vintage that even tries to embody a spirit of genuine optimism about human possibilities going forward is Brad Bird...
