Title is ...

... well the title is quite telling. And there is a pun to be honest. Because obviously while this is telling us to be inclusive, while this is telling us to let people be who they want to be - it also shows us the harsh reality. That if people open up about who they are or want to be ... well society is laughing in their face (literally).

Which can bring up an ugly side in the person who is being laughed at - also quite literally. Good effects, but the mood changes are a bit too much for me. From slow and peaceful to quite radical and mayhem. Of course this is meant to show a mental state and you may like the way it is done.

Also the music and the songs deserve a 10 out of 10. You can not have issues with inclusiveness, you can not be a bigot - otherwise you will have a lots of issues with the short movie itself. Hopefully you can see that (no pun intended)

Hard look

Warning: Spoilers
I quite enjoyed the movie - especially it's tenor. Random, brutal, truthful. Very 80's, in feel and look.

I understand the vulnerable child within everyone, as well as the werewolf, when provoked or when the pain is too much. Life is hard, especially for a queer person. And even more so when other people dump their thoughtless bigotry upon you. And just crush that beautiful, joyous child within. But redemption is not to be had by lashing out at bigots, but by tuning into your guardian angel, and thus your higher self.

It's a musical, and the music was top notch. Especially "Fruit", which is a beautiful ballad!

Hideous, and Proud!

This was SUCH a good LGBTQ short film!

Part drama.

Part horror.

Part camp.

All parts musical.

(And some great music, at that)!

In just 22 minutes, so much is cleverly conveyed about the main character through the dialogue, the lyrics of the songs, the excellent acting (MAJOR kudos to Oliver Sim!), and the various settings that the movie morphs and melds into. The music will have you tapping your feet, and the makeup SFX is chef's kiss.

As a gay man, I could relate to quite a lot in this film. PLEASE watch it, especially if you're from the LGBTQ community. It's a quick watch that conveys so much!
