There are few things more satisfying than seeing Rutger Hauer continue to kick ass while making movies. Word has just hit the Net of a wicked new flick starring everyone's favorite alumnus of Disneyland, and we've got the details.
MovieHole is reporting that Rutger Hauer is joining Christian Slater and Peter Facinelli for Way of the Wicked, a new film from director Kevin Carraway.
Lawrence Salva’s (Seven Below) script centers on a detective (Twilight star Facinelli) on the trail of a murderer, who is led to believe that a local teenager, harboring some sort of strange supernatural power, may be involved. Slater plays the man’s disbelieving boss while Hauer plays a man-of-the-cloth who aids the cop on his mission.

One of the side effects of doing this thing they call movie blogging is that I hear about pretty much every film that goes into production. A lot of times these films have nifty premises that sticks in my mind. Take the premise for “Seven Below” from director Kevin Carraway, which goes something like this: The story centers on a group of strangers trapped in a time warp house where a terrible event transpired exactly 100 years prior. Not bad, right? Sounds like something right up my alley. The last time we reported on the film was last year, when it was casting. Haven’t heard a single thing about it since, which basically means whoever produced it didn’t feel it was worth promoting. But after a quick tour of YouTube, I discovered a trailer, and now, an Amazon pre-order page that has the film scheduled for an April 17, 2012 release...

I’m not saying this will going to happen, just saying it could be a possibility as Mary-Louise Parker ( Red), Ving Rhames (Piranha 3D) and James Woods (Straw Dogs) have joined newcomer Spencer LoFranco on [...]

Sometimes the past comes back to haunt you. An early sales promo trailer for Seven Below, a haunted house horror-thriller starring Ving Rhames, Luke Goss and Val Kilmer among others, has debuted via Bloody-Disgusting. This indie horror involves a house where a group of strangers end up together, and history begins to repeat itself, as 100 years before some kid went crazy and killed his whole family. It looks pretty terrible. Between this and Twixt, it's sad to see Val Kilmer ending up in crappy, low budget straight-to-dvd horror, but that's pretty much what this looks like. "This is my sanctuary, your souls belong to me!"
