Sex & Nudity

  • The newspaper zombie is seen in his underwear indicating he got off a toilet.
  • The zombies wear torn clothes.
  • In the Almanac, it mentions one of the plants always wanting hugs.
  • Very mild suggestive content.

Violence & Gore

  • The bucket zombies have blood seen on their bucket helmets.
  • In Zombotany, the zombies are disguised as plants which fight back the same way the plants do.
  • Gargantuars smash almost any kind of plant with a telephone pole, street sign, or even a zombie.
  • The player gets the ability to kill zombies but it is not gory. The player can crush watermelons on zombies heads, hit them with spikes, explode them and run them over with lawnmowers although it is not violent, it is nonstop and can get intense.
  • The zombies are able to squash, eat and run over your plants, which are supposedly living. This may upset some players.
  • When zombies are killed, they get comically decapitated. There is a little bit of blood on their necks, but nothing overly graphic. Apart from vehicle zombies which get blown away and Gargantuars, which fall to the ground with a non-graphic thud, while comically groaning, he then disappears.
  • The other exception is when zombies get blown up or eaten (Non-graphic)
  • If you lose, the zombies eat your brain and there is a very loud scream yelling, 'NO!!!' Green blood wipes the screen.
  • Towards the end of the game Crazy Dave gets comically kidnapped.

Profanity

  • Occasional insults like "idiots" and "crazy".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The Giga-gargantuars appear with red eyes, which can scarily confuse the players as they suddenly encounter them. (In Endless Survival)
  • The zombies are seen eating the plants close to them, nothing graphic but can be scary for younger players.
  • Two battles with Dr. Zomboss, more if you replay the game (Which you can do)
  • Huge waves can sometimes be mildly scary, particularly in survival endless
  • Some of the zombies might scare younger players.
  • The credits have a song which could be somewhat scary for young kids, but is meant to be comical.
