How to Hamlet, or Hamleting Hamlet Written by John Kurzynowski and Jon Riddleberger Conceived and directed by John Kurzynowski Presented by Theater Reconstruction Ensemble at Here, NYC March 30-April 14, 2017
The average person probably has at least a passing familiarity with William Shakespeare's Hamlet. But how is it different to know the Western canon's arguably most famous tragedy from the inside, so to speak? And can that shift in perspective, even if observed rather than experienced directly, allow the audience to see the play afresh, with different eyes? Releasing on 2nd of October is Haider, Vishal Bhardwaj’s adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, which stars Shahid Kapoor in the title role. The film also features Shraddha Kapoor, Kay Kay Menon, Tabu, and Irrfan.
Talking about why he chose to do the role, Shahid said, “I feel content that I did this film because there are certain films that you do depending on whether it will do well or not, and then there are those you do because as an actor, you want to feel enriched and you want to have an experience, which will help you to grow. This is that film.”
He added, “It’s the most difficult role I have done in my career, I would say. It’s definitely a very intense character. But this is that kind of film which you do from your heart and for your heart, and there are others...

The elusive playwright's genius is examined again in Roland Emmerich's new film. But while the debate about who wrote the plays rages, only one thing remains sure: by his works shall we know him
During an age of conspiracy theories, nurtured by the world wide web, none perhaps is as persistent as the mystery of William Shakespeare. How could one man write such universal plays?
Anonymous, a forthcoming film by Roland Emmerich, the director of disaster movies such as Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow, addresses the Shakespeare authorship question in a mash-up of fact and fiction that will reignite the perennial fascination with an elusive genius, some say the greatest writer who ever lived.
It's always the frustration of Shakespeare that, although his words are everywhere, the man is invisible. Anonymous exploits this, inviting audiences to entertain the ultimate plot: that the writer of Macbeth or The Tempest is not,...

The Shakespeare authorship question is a debate that started over one hundred years ago surrounding the identity of the works traditionally attributed to the bearded Bard from Stratford-Upon-Avon, William Shakespeare. Was he really the genius behind Hamlet.s tragic life, Romeo.s burning love, and Lady Macbeth.s plaguing guilt? Could the intellectual behind literature.s most brilliant characters be this very ordinary man from Stratford?
So little is known about the man from Stratford that many find it impossible to believe that the son of an illiterate tradesman was the author of such literary masterpieces as .The Merchant of Venice,. .King Lear,. and .Henry V.. His education from a village school could never have provided Shakespeare with a vocabulary extensive enough to write the most talked about literature in the world and there is no proof that he travelled to foreign lands let alone learnt to speak their native tongues.
