HEARTWARMING!!!

This is easily one of the best films I have seen in recent times. After a long time I have across a film that is simple yet heartwarming. It's beautifully written and equally well executed. It's a film I never knew I needed until I watched it.

Rumana Molla as a writer and a director is fantastic. The casting is top notch. Saba Azad, Naseeruddin shah, Rumana molla, Namit Das and Geetanjali Kulkarni, take a bow. Each and every actor has given a stellar performance.

Hats off to the producer Shiladitya Bora for backing and bringing forward such a gem of a story.

It's a story that will definitely stay with me for a long time.

We were all blown away by this little gem !

Movie´s themes : immigration, arranged marriage, social integration ,...

This movie was so funny and touching at the same time!

The actors are incredible, Rumana is brilliant and Saba did a great job in her role as a French teacher!

This film goes straight to the heart!

Like a magnificent painting that is both realistic and filled with poetry! It's poignant and at the same time deliciously funny!

The writing is excellent, a convincing and subtle mix of emotions, authentic characters and a beautiful, sincere, clever and profound story.

I was left impressed by the talented actors and especially by Rumana Molla who's performance as an actor was amazing and who masterfully directed this film!

I really recommend Minimum, it is intercultural and I feel like anyone can identify with the characters. I would love to watch this again!

Wonderful storytelling with humour, humanity and grace

I loved this movie! And recommend it to anyone of any age.

I saw it at its premiere in London and it stayed with me since. It was such a delight to watch: light, funny and poignant. Which is a real wonder (and great achievement!) considering how difficult the subject is, and with what heaviness it could have been told.

But it's written and acted with such tenderness that the simple and light storytelling is really enjoyable, and at the same time doesn't at all take away from the really serious subject. It actually made the subject sit with me for days longer... and at the same time this feeling of humanity, goodness, and hopefulness stayed with me, too... It's quite a feat to tell such a tough story in a way that's so enjoyable to watch, without making it flippant or cliché.

All around an awe-striking tour de force from Rumana Molla not just because it was her directorial debut, but also because she wrote it (!) in addition to acting in the lead. Also a really superb ensemble cast who played their characters with such love and understanding, that we end up relating to them all.

The world definitely needs this movie (and more like it).
