Never seen a prelude before

It's okay and not bad. Obviously this prelude happened to avoid any plot-holes. We all knew Brian changed his path in the first movie, this prelude shows how he managed to choose his new path.

Bring Minka Kelly back!
ashfordofficial28 November 2021
The first short film in the Fast & Furious franchise, details the events prior to 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003).

They need to bring back Minka Kelly in at least one feature film, F10 or F11.

The consequences of family squabbles.

The Turbo Charged Prelude for 2 Fast 2 Furious. The consequences of family squabbles. The short film looks more like a long trailer for the next movie. Brian rides the states, makes money, and finally arrives at the start of the second film.

The Turbo Charged Prelude for 2 Fast 2 Furious: A High-Octane Prologue to the Fast Saga
sufyaanrashid9519 November 2023
"The Turbo Charged Prelude for 2 Fast 2 Furious" revs up the excitement as a thrilling prologue that bridges the gap between the first and second films in the Fast and Furious franchise. Released in 2003, this short film provides a tantalizing glimpse into the life of Brian O'Conner and sets the stage for the adrenaline-fueled action to come.

The plot follows Brian O'Conner, portrayed by Paul Walker, as he sets off on a cross-country journey after letting Dominic Toretto escape. Fueled by a desire to start fresh, Brian takes part in illegal street races to earn a living while staying under the radar. Along the way, he encounters both challenges and opportunities that test his skills and resolve.

Despite its shorter runtime, "The Turbo Charged Prelude" delivers a satisfying dose of high-speed thrills. The film captures the essence of the Fast and Furious franchise, showcasing intense car chases, breathtaking stunts, and the underground racing culture. It immerses viewers in Brian's world, providing a deeper understanding of his character and motivations.

Paul Walker's charismatic performance as Brian O'Conner shines once again, capturing the conflicted nature of the character. His determination and driving skills come to the forefront, highlighting his growth and evolution since the first film. The film also features appearances by familiar faces, further connecting it to the larger Fast Saga.

Visually, "The Turbo Charged Prelude" delivers with dynamic cinematography that captures the speed and intensity of the races. The editing and sound design enhance the exhilarating sequences, creating a sense of urgency and immersing viewers in the action. The film's soundtrack complements the fast-paced visuals, adding to the overall experience.

While the plot may be straightforward, serving as a prologue to "2 Fast 2 Furious," the film accomplishes its purpose effectively. It provides an exciting glimpse into Brian's journey and sets the stage for the next chapter in his life. It successfully builds anticipation and leaves viewers eager to embark on the next thrilling adventure in the Fast Saga.

"The Turbo Charged Prelude for 2 Fast 2 Furious" is a high-octane prologue that delivers the excitement and energy fans of the franchise have come to expect. It serves as a satisfying bridge between the first and second films, offering a deeper look into Brian O'Conner's story. Buckle up and get ready for the ride.

No cinematic value

Warning: Spoilers
"Turbo Charged Prelude to 2 Fast 2 Furious" is exactly what the title says. This takes place before the second of so far 7 "Fast & Furious" films already and was made over 10 years ago already. The star in here is Paul Walker and there is certainly some irony to his death and his character in these films. Maybe, he was not too different compared to Brian O'Conner in real life. Anyway, about this film here: It runs for 6 minutes only and has basically pointless need-for-speed action from start to finish with the character and actor I just mentioned and some hot girls with little clothes who enjoy the lifestyle as well. There is no substance to this movie, no good story line, no humour, nothing. Just pointless action. But what would you expect if the writer comes from "The Voice". If the feature films look somehow similar, I cannot say I am angry that I have not seen a single one so far. Highly not recommended.

If Charlie Chaplin did F&F
jordanhjacobs9 April 2015
An 8 might seem generous here. The idea of a franchise (Vin Diesel) wanting such a complete picture, that they create short movies to fill plot holes, is just perfect to me. I think they could stand to do a little more of that, 6-22 minute segments with various characters. This portion of the franchise coming in at about 6 minutes is all silent. It has pieces put together fro the time Brian ad Dom went their separate ways at the end of the first. It has a nice little segue into the Miami scene. It gives a quick glimpse of what it might be like trying to make a name for yourself, all while finding your own way. The best part of this short film is no doubt, when a baby is born, not literally obviously, but something comes from nothing, and it just makes you appreciate that much more.

Fast and Furious Serial is the short film that provides the link between the first movie and the second movie. There is no speech in the movie, but it is successful in ensuring the integrity of the series.

Surprisingly Good

It's a short film between the first and the second Fast and Furious film. I really like it because it manages to convey so much of the mood of the early Fast and Furious films. It doesn't even have dialogue. It's a simple story with cool cars, an awesome soundtrack and a very "2003 feeling" to it.
