I thought this storyline was very interesting. Normally in these Lifetime/LMN movies, I know the perpetrator within the first half hour. But in this story, the writer points to several suspects as the perp. It wasn't until the last 45 minutes to an hour that I figured out who it was. I thought that Candice Marie Singleton (Hannah) did a great job. She was very convincing and believable. Walnette Marie Santiago (Charlotte) and Justice Freedom Jones (Maddie) also played their roles very well. The rest of the cast, not so much. I thought both of the men Hannah had to choose from were not worthy of her strong character. Daniel (Rico Ball) always looked needy and lost. Josh (Michael Anthony) was too authoritative and controlling. I think I would have kept looking.

Warning: Spoilers
This was OK. Your basic Lifetime thriller. I watched it when it premiered and just watched it again, there are clues to who the villain is, but I can see how (at least at first) it can seem surprising if you're not paying super close attention.

A few criticisms I have, and this is a critique I have of all Lifetime productions.... in order to play whodunnit or the villain guessing game, the scripts usually make the potential villains way too extreme. For example, Josh. With the way Hannah treated him, I find it hard to believe he would still be in love with her. She shut him down at every turn and never gave him mixed signals (from what we saw). Their daughter seemed to be a well-adjusted (given being a child of divorce) and smart kid, so it seemed a bit weird that they created this dynamic between her parents that she never picked up on. Hannah also made comments about his parenting, which seemed excessive since none of it was onscreen. I guess my point is the movie tried way too hard to make him a suspect when he CLEARLY adores his child. So SPOILER----why would he kill someone when he knows she's in the house? And then hang around in the driveway? To me, he was the least suspicious of the possibilities. Hannah mentioned that he's dated since their divorce, which means he accepts it, so why would he be so hung up on her finally dating? His concern for her was understandable, but they added an ultra-chauvinist layer that IMO wasn't necessary.

They sort of did it with Daniel too. Hannah made a huge deal of him dating a month after a break up as if she was there and understood how he could move on after that amount of time.

Another pet peeve (and I always mention this), is the masked attacker is NEVER the same body type as the actual villain. SPOILER ALERT---why would we ever think the attacker at the pool was Josh???

Like I said, there are clues to the killer's identity and it's really only a twist if you're not picking up on it. I think all of the deaths in this were unnecessary. I am so over friends dying for the protags. I think this story could have worked just as well had it been a stalking movie.

It's a watchable movie. I've watched it twice. But it's a standard Lifetime flick. The acting was pretty much all on the same level. No one rose above any of the others. Hannah and Daniel didn't have that much chem, but whatevs. I did like the ending. It was nice to see survival and agreement between the characters to move on and live. I also liked how Hannah acknowledged that ever since she met Daniel, her life turned upside down. Granted, he was innocent, but it's great to see a Lifetime protagonist have this realization. It doesn't happen often enough.

P. S. The movie thumbnail/cover art is weird though. It should have Hannah, Daniel, and maybe Josh on it.
