Eiza Gonzalez has joined Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham in the “Fast & Furious” spinoff film, “Hobbs and Shaw,” an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.
David Leitch is directing the film that will hit theaters on Aug. 2, 2019. Johnson and Statham are reprising their roles as former rivals turned unlikely allies, Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw.
Longtime “F&F” writer Chris Morgan returns as writer and producer on the project, marking his seventh go-around in the series.

Original Film’s Neal H. Moritz is producing alongside Johnson and his Seven Bucks Productions partners, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia, Jason Statham, and Chris Morgan for his eponymous production company. Kelly McCormick, Steve Chasman, Amanda Lewis, Ainsley Davies and Ethan Smith executive produce.
Executive vice president of production Mark Sourian and vice president Jay Polidoro will oversee the project at Universal.

Robert Patrick, Madison Davenport, Brandon Soo Hoo and Eiza González are the latest to join the cast of Robert Rodriguez’s From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series. Shooting is underway in Austin, TX on the 10-episode serialized drama based on the cult horror film by Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino. González re-creates the role of Santánico Pandemonium; Patrick portrays Jacob Fuller, father to Kate Fuller (Davenport) and Scott Fuller (Soo Hoo), who are held hostage by main characters Seth and Richie Gecko, and find themselves along for the ride of their life. They join previously announced D.J. Cotrona, Zane Holtz, Jesse Garcia, who plays Texas Ranger Freddie Gonzalez, a new character created for the series, and Don Johnson, who joins in a recurring role as Sheriff Earl McGraw.
