Enter the rapids, and go to the right. Putt Putt will eventually lose the raft, and in order to get back on it, you'll have to click the red rope that's tied to the tree branch. Putt Putt will use it to swing onto the raft, which leaves it hanging. If you go to this area of the rapids again, the red rope is magically "reset."
How did Putt-Putt get the pictures he took immediately after he took them? The camera he got from Patty isn't an instant camera; and digital cameras existed but weren't too popular until a few years after the game was released, and they certainly wouldn't be on a zoo gift cart, let alone given away for free; plus, Putt-Putt says "I should save my film for taking pictures of the zoo animals;" so how did he get the pictures in his inventory right after he took them?
Baby Jambo is an African elephant, as evidenced by his large Africa-shaped ears and of course his name. But his mother appears to be an Asian elephant; she has two domes on top of her head, she lacks tusks (a female African elephant would have tusks), and her ears are much lower in relation to the top of her head. They aren't even in the same genera so this shouldn't be possible.
When Putt-Putt leaves the dam and stops to talk to Mama Mombassa and after she wishes him good luck, she drinks water through her trunk instead of spraying it into her mouth.
The entrance to the Rapids is by Mr. Hippo, and the exit is near where Kenya is stuck on the rock. Putt Putt can go between those two screens easily, despite the fact that there should be a huge height difference between them.
The zoo opens after Putt-Putt rescues all the animals, despite there being an open bridge over an alligator swamp at the entrance of Jungle Land.
