Thought provoking movie

It is hard to find a thought provoking movie. This is one of them. This movie "touched" my heart. The drama about living your life as others expect from you or living it following your passion and vision. Do you let your dreams die or do you fight for them? The main actor has a passion for painting; however, he cannot make enough money for living. There is a conflict between the main actor and his father. The father does not support his son's dream. He wants him to live the "normal" life, work for Corporation and make money. However, that means for the main actor to lock his soul in the jail and give up his dream; that means to die as a human being. The father does not understand his own son and his death is paralleled with the internal death that experiencing the main actor by giving up his dreams. I highly recommend this movie. Thumbs up!

A recent college graduate faces the decision of what to pursue as a career.

This film is beautifully shot and well acted and is very interesting to watch as the main character deals with the decision of whether or not to follow his dream of working as a painter or to take a corporate job instead. He is given advice from people he encounter's during the film. The camera work is great and the scenes are interesting visually. The film is a bit of a downer in tone overall but does portray honestly the challenging reality one faces when torn between a choice of boring financial security and gratifying artistic struggle. Excellent editing and use of color scenes and black and white scenes to convey the state of mind of the main character throughout.
