something does not fit

It is the vision of western Europeans about being poor: living alone in a luxuos apartment, having a private singing teacher, having a parrot but not having anything to eat and to not have a good relationship with your parents and eventually become homeless. It is such a cliché! The movie tries to impress the critics by faking to understand the artists nowadays that are not payed enough. The main character also seem to have some mental issues but how serious they are, it is hard to tell. However if the critics may see themselves in the main character as not being payed well enough, then the movie will really score very well. In fact the whole point is to make people understand Greek's financial crises.

Not for everyone, but I loved it!

It's really hard to watch. I felt myself in the struggle of the main character, like in a hole so deep I couldn't figure out where to go. Quite minimalistic, but hard to put into words what it made me feel. I like how everything was hinted at, or shown, rather than told; and how the main character is understood through body language mostly. It's not a movie for everyone, though, it's more artsy, slow paced, experimental. Those are things I really enjoy in films, they are such an emotional experience. But sadly not a lot of people seek this kind of genre...
