As I feared, Alex's turn to unstable seemingly comes out of nowhere. One minute the relationship is fine and the next he wants to go home and she pretends to take a bunch of pills.. Given the long form nature of a series and the fact the did spend a couple of episodes developing the relationship a couple of dates and encounters, the turn just seems to come out of nowhere, she never discussed a relationship or what she wanted, just boom, manipulating him through pretending to try to kill herself. Its a shame they could have seeded her instability better or his indifference and his using her. I do like what they are doing with the daughter with her feeling out her father (in the later time) which hints at stuff that happened. Missing is Peet's character. The wife isn't really part of the story yet, which seems odd. I am enjoying the acting, and the production, the story seems off a bit, not bad, but missed opportunities.
