Itvx thriller “Platform 7,” produced by Fremantle’s Dancing Ledge, has debuted first-look images ahead of MipCom.
Adapted from Louise Doughty’s novel, it sees young teacher Lisa wandering around a small railway station. Lisa has a secret – she is a ghost and she died right there. But even though everyone ruled it a suicide, she doesn’t remember what happened to her.
“It’s tense, fresh and engaging, with supernatural elements that combine important modern issues, resulting in an exceptional lead performance from Jasmine Jobson, who breaks new ground in this limited series,” says Fremantle’s Jens Richter, calling Doughty’s writing “phenomenal.”
The show was adapted by Paula Milne, also behind “The Politician’s Husband” and Oliver Hirschbiegel’s “The Same Sky.” Toby Regbo, Reece Ritchie, Yaamin Chowdhury co-star.
“I feel very passionately that if ghosts would really exist, they wouldn’t be just floating around in white nighties...

Exclusive: Daybreak Pictures founders David Aukin and Hal Vogel have exited the Tinopolis Group scripted producer, with the latter launching a new venture with Ringside Media, the investment vehicle backed by France’s Newen.
Aukin and Vogel leave Daybreak after 15 years, during which time they oversaw BAFTA-winning Riz Ahmed series Britz, Claire Foy drama The Promise, David Tennant series The Politician’s Husband, and features including Justin Kurzel’s True History of the Kelly Gang, which starred Russell Crowe.
Vogel’s new company will be called Slate Entertainment and represents Ringside Media’s second investment. Founded by Newen and The Fall producer Gub Neal last year, Ringside previously took a stake in Fictionhouse, founded by former Royal Court Theatre artistic directors Dominic Cooke and Kate Horton.

The nation loves panel shows. At least that's what TV commissioners think. For the last decade we've had endless bunches of comic and not-so-comic talent thrown together in roughly cobbled together formats that are incredibly cheap to make and handy for repeats on Dave.
It's a recipe for unpleasantly bland comedy. I call it 8 out of 10 Cats-itus.
Joining the long list of just-about-ok-ish snoozy panel shows this week is Nick 'Grimmy' Grimshaw's BBC Three vehicle Sweat The Small Stuff.
In the old days, panel shows used to be about specific subjects. News, music, sport, politics, TV. What has Grimmy been left with? Stuff. Thanks, BBC Three.
Joining Grimmy on this beige TV adventure are the pregnant one from The Saturdays and famous-in-their-own-bathrooms DJ duo Rickie and Melvin. As you can imagine it's wall-to-wall laughs. If you're a sadist.

It's been a while since I've checked in with the hair-gel abusing, giant-chinned, pout-osauras rex monsters that are the Made in Chelsea cast. There has been an extraordinary amount of chitter-chatter in the Digital Spy office and my Twitter timeline about this week's episode, so I decided to give Cheska, Binky, Spencer, Foo-Foo, Dipsy and Po another visit.
I wouldn't want to miss out would I? Yah.
Diving into the Made in Chelsea world midway through its fifth series was a bit like when you catch a foreign soap opera on your hotel TV when you're on holiday in Spain or France. Except with worse acting. I wasn't entirely sure what was going on and at times, a Sign Zone-esque person in the bottom corner of the screen would have been useful. They could translate the hair-flicks, the yahs and the undramatic pauses into intelligible English for anyone who didn't...

Emily Watson's raw performances have made her one of Britain's most spellbinding actors. Now she's playing a woman running for prime minister – against her husband. She talks to Carole Cadwalladr about marriage, sexuality and the joy of viscose blouses
The plots of TV dramas are often so preposterous and far-fetched. And then sometimes they're not. The latest three-parter from the BBC, The Politician's Husband, stars David Tennant and Emily Watson as two senior politicians who are married to one another and whose domestic life starts to unravel when the husband's career begins to be eclipsed by that of his more talented wife. If this is a fantasy (and none too flattering) version of Ed Balls and Yvette Cooper's lives, then at least they can be happy with the cast.
It's a mark of how much the star of TV drama has risen that an actor of Emily Watson's stature is involved.
