A pair of students recently made an unlikely twosome as they followed each other across the stage to get their college diplomas — they weren’t just classmates, but a grandmother and the granddaughter she raised graduating together.
Belinda Berry, 62, and Karea Berry, 25, both earned their degrees from Chicago State University on Thursday, the first grandmother-granddaughter graduating duo in the school’s 150 year history.
“It meant the world to me, because that’s the person, aside my from my daughter, that means the most to me,” Karea tells People. “To be making her proud while she was making me proud was so awesome.

How far would you go for social media followers? It’s a question many millennials have probably asked themselves -- but hopefully, they won’t go as far as the leads of the upcoming horror-comedy Tragedy Girls.
The film tells the story of two death-obsessed teenage girls who embark on a killing spree in their small town to draw attention to their social media accounts, and its two stars, Brianna Hildebrand and Alexandra Shipp, spoke with Et about how frighteningly close to reality this concept is.
“I don’t think it’s that far-fetched,” Shipp admitted. “I think this generation is moving toward something like this in a sense.”
“It definitely says a lot about the power of social media,” Hildebrand agreed. “It is definitely not too far off to think a young person would do something like this for likes and attention.”
“I think it only takes one person to go that far,” Shipp added.

Just back from the 2017 TCM Classic Movie Festival with a few thoughts and thoughts about thoughts. I certainly held my reservations about this year’s edition, and though I ultimately ended up tiring early of flitting about from theater to theater like a mouse in a movie maze (it happens to even the most fanatically devoted of us on occasion, or so I’m told), there were, as always, several things I learned by attending Tcmff 2017 as well.
1) TCM Staffers Are Unfailingly Polite And Helpful
Thankfully I wasn’t witness, as I have been in past years, to any pass holders acting like spoiled children because they had to wait in a long queue or, heaven forbid, because they somehow didn’t get in to one of their preferred screenings. Part of what makes the Tcmff experience as pleasant as it often is can be credited to the tireless work...

Lucifer proved he'd still do anything for Chloe on Lucifer Season 2 Episode 13, but it didn't stop him from walking away from her in the end.
I wish I could knock Lucifer on the head.
While he sees it as some sort of betrayal that God put Chloe in his path, I still see it as a sign of love from his father. A way of maybe seeking forgiveness for sending him to Hell in the first place.

The singer, 23, grew up with a mother who suffered from bulimia, and says seeing her mom struggle with an eating disorder affected her relationship with her own body from an extremely young age. "Even though I was 2 or 3 years old, being around somebody who was 80 lbs. and had an active eating disorder… it's hard not to grow up like that," Lovato told American Way magazine. Despite her insecurities, Lovato began competing in beauty pageants at age 7 - which she said made her body image issues even worse.

What's it like to eat like a professional football player and a supermodel? Apparently not very fun, according to an interview with Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen's personal chef Allen Campbell. "Eighty percent of what they eat is vegetables and whole grains: brown rice, quinoa, millet, beans," Campbell told Boston.com. "The other 20 percent is lean meats: grass-fed organic steak, duck every now and then, and chicken. As for fish, I mostly cook wild salmon." However, there are certain vegetables Brady, 38, won't eat at all. "[Tom] doesn't eat nightshades, because they're not anti-inflammatory," explains Campbell. "So no tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms,...

Lily Tomlin’s fierce lesbian poet, Blythe Danner’s spunky widow, Sally Field’s kooky nan ... Move over Zooey Deschanel, granny wants a piece of the action
“Why didn’t you use a condom or, for humanity’s sake, get a vasectomy?” snarls Lily Tomlin in her new film, Grandma. One of the great pleasures of getting older is that it offers opportunities, not so much for telling truth to power, as telling truth to smug, libidinous, adolescent jerks.
“Who is this?” incredulous jerk asks girlfriend. “My grandma,” girlfriend replies. The unsuitable suitor has just impregnated Tomlin’s granddaughter during a one-night stand, prompting her to ask granny for $630 for an abortion. When the jerk cheeks Tomlin, she seizes his ice hockey stick and administers a blow to his crown jewels. Had that blow been struck just before the one-night stand it would surely have precluded the need for the loan.
