After weeks of speculation, WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens finally has an official opponent announced for WrestleMania 32. Well, make that six of them. It was made official Monday night during Raw that Owens will defend his belt in a ladder match against The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zayn, Sin Cara, Zack Ryder (!), and Stardust in Dallas on April 3rd.
Zack Ryder’s inclusion is quite remarkable. He last appeared on PPV some 14 months ago as part of 30 competitors in the WWE Royal Rumble 2015 match. In fact, if you discount battle royals… his last PPV match was over Three And A Half Years Ago at Night Of Champions 2012 when he lost to Cesaro in a U.S. title match. Incredible.
Sami Zayn, Miz, and Ziggler each appeared early during Raw proclaiming that they wanted a shot at the Intercontinental strap. It was then announced that a triple threat match...

The Undertaker versus Braun Strowman is a possibility for WWE WrestleMania 32. Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter states Strowman “is getting the push that other monsters in the past geared for Undertaker had gotten.”
At this stage, Meltzer calls it a “wild card” but there isn’t much else for The Undertaker to do at Mania. He could still face Sting, but that seems unlikely after the injury and performance of the WCW Icon at Night Of Champions.
Strowman has barely any wrestling experience, and is getting a big push based solely on his look. He’s huge and that’s going to take him places.
The Undertaker loves working with giants like Strowman, because that then makes him look like a heroic conqueror. Look through Taker’s history with Heidenreich, Khali, Mark Henry and numerous other high profile monster feuds.

This past week’s episode of Monday Night Raw directly followed on from Night Of Champions. At the tail end of the Pay-Per-View, Kane returned in his ‘Demon’ guise to add more problems for reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. On Raw, Rollins was confused when ‘Corporate’ Kane was seemingly back in the hot seat as Director Or Operations for The Authority.
Smackdown promised to keep that particular story going, and also offered up a big tag-team match. The ongoing romance feud between Dolph Ziggler and Rusev has cooled off remarkably since Lana went down with injury, but Ziggler was set to team with Ryback to face Rusev and Kevin Owens. It was a nifty way to mix 2 different stories.
That was all that was announced for Smackdown prior to the broadcast taking place, but below is the entire match card and results.
Roman Reigns defeated Luke Harper via pinfall.

Let’s not beat about the bush; this week’s Raw was a stinker. The injury sustained by Sting at Night Of Champions ruled him out of an appearance, forcing a pretty noticeable reshuffle – but even taking this into account, the show was a poorly planned one from top to bottom.
Fortunately, despite its poor quality, it did raise a lot of intriguing questions regarding future storylines. Kane inserted himself firmly into the title scene, following Sting’s recent trend of muscling your way to the number one contender spot with little rhyme or reason. Paige cut a Cm Punk-style pipebomb promo, calling out the glaring issues with the divas division and turning heel (or even further face, given the incredibly positive crowd reaction).
Elsewhere, Big Show confirmed his upcoming match against Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton returned to help out Reigns and Ambrose, and Seth Rollins lost clean again – no surprise there.

Night Of Champions was a rather messy pay per view, one which has already divided opinion and generated serious debate. However, love it or hate it, it has set the scene for a number of potential new feuds. The ending of the show alone saw Kane and Sheamus both forcibly break back into the main event scene, while other feuds were partially hinted at up and down the card.
Some impending matches are inevitable, such as Ryback’s certain rematch with new Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens, and Nikki Bella’s similarly likely shot at new Divas Champion Charlotte. However, beyond these initial scuffles (many of which should be dealt with within the next week or two) uncertainty reigns.
Here are ten potential new avenues the WWE could realistically explore in the wake of Night Of Champions, including a few old faces.

Let's get this right out of the way: No, Sting did not win the WWE World Heavyweight title at Night of Champions, which was probably the right call, considering the practicalities (and the optics) of a 56-year-old man holding the top belt in the business. But he certainly deserved to, after turning back the clock and putting his body on the line in a thriller against Seth Rollins. The result wasn't a surprise – especially given the comments Sting made last week to Rolling Stone – but the quality of the match was.

This past week on Monday Night Raw, WWE’s creative team made their ‘Mr. Money In The Bank’ briefcase holder look weak once more. It’s a confusing strategy, and it can only be theorised that the company don’t feel wins and losses really matter in the grand scheme of things. Some fans have covered this by saying it shows everybody can beat everybody else, but that excuse doesn’t really wash.
The promotion are handling some top names very oddly at the moment, booking them as cowards or losers. In the long run, this will surely do nothing for characters like Sheamus or Seth Rollins. Thankfully, in the case of the latter, Raw was a return to some resemblance of being a deserved double champion. This past week, Rollins was booked less like a scared little boy, although he did once again run away from Sting...

As one of WWE’s more underrated events of the year, Night of Champions has served as the platform for many a memorable moments in recent times. It’s the one night of the year where every active title must be defended, and as a result, it’s more often than not a night of historic happenings
This year’s instalment will be no exception. Headlining the event will be Sting and Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and if Sting can find a way to emerge victorious, he’ll become the oldest WWE champion of all-time at the age of 56. He’ll also be the first former WCW alum to hold the gold since Rey Mysterio in 2011.
In other action, The Dudley Boyz will look to reclaim the WWE Tag Team Championship in their matchup against The New Day. If they take the titles on Sunday,...

The big news going into Night Of Champions is the fact that Seth Rollins will be forced to defend both his titles in separate matches, but there’s also a far more traditional subplot to the event – the good old mystery partner angle.
Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose have been charmingly coy about the identity of their third man, hinting that it could be anybody from The Great Khali to Savio Vega (spoiler: it’s neither of these). The options are pleasingly varied, meaning that we could be in for a legitimate surprise on Sunday night.
All manner of upcoming Nxt superstars, returning legends, and members of the current roster have been touted as the babyfaces’ partner – ranging from the incredibly popular (The Rock) to the…not so popular (Eric Rowan).
Here are the ten likeliest candidates to walk down the aisle at Night Of Champions.

Night Of Champions looks set to be one of the more unpredictable PPVs of recent months. Seth Rollins’ unique double-defence situation has thrown up a wide variety of possible outcomes, while the identity of Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose’s tag partner has remained a closely-guarded secret.
Elsewhere, Kevin Owens looks to prise the Intercontinental Championship away from Ryback, while the New Day face their most intimidating challenge yet, in the legendary form of the Dudley Boyz.
In the divas division, Charlotte failed to prevent Nikki Bella from eclipsing Aj Lee’s record reign this past Monday night, but has a chance for instant revenge in the form of a Divas Championship rematch.
The only other woman officially on the card is Summer Rae, but not in a wrestling capacity. She’ll be accompanying Rusev to the ring when he faces Dolph Ziggler once more, in the latest...

Here's the good news heading into Sunday's Night of Champions: All the belts are officially on the line, now that Ryback vs. Kevin Owens for the Ic strap was made official, New Day vs. The Dudley Boyz was cemented with the former's win over Ptp and Nikki Bella's been saddled with a rematch against Charlotte for the Divas crown.
Less encouraging is that the go-home show did little to intensify most of the current beefs, nor drum up much more intrigue for matches without any hardware at stake.

With WWE Night Of Champions on the horizon this Sunday, the final edition of WWE Raw prior to the PPV aired on Monday night. Coming out of the show, we now know the final card for Sunday’s big event.
While a good majority of the card was already known prior to Monday’s go-home show, a couple of new matches were added to the lineup to round out the card.
Following a disqualification finish in the Nikki Bella vs. Charlotte Divas Championship match during Raw, it was announced that the two would have a rematch at Night Of Champions. This time, if Nikki is disqualified, the title will indeed change hands.
Ryback went out to the ring for a promo during Raw and was interrupted by Kevin Owens. After the two went back and forth in the ring on their microphones, Ryback announced he asked The Authority...

Both Ric Flair and Sting are in town for tonight’s edition of WWE Raw, live from Memphis, Tennessee.
Flair is currently backstage at the FedEx Forum, according to PWInsider, and it is unknown whether he will be appearing on television during the broadcast. Obviously, with Flair’s daughter Charlotte getting her first opportunity to wrestle for the WWE Divas Championship, it would make sense to show Flair on television in some capacity. He may possibly just take part in a backstage segment, or it’s possible that he could accompany Charlotte to the ring in the same way that he has done during a few of her Nxt matches in the past.
If Nikki Bella is victorious tonight, she will surpass A.J. Lee as the longest reigning WWE Divas Champion in history. According to Dave Meltzer on yesterday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, there is a chance that...

This past week’s episode of Monday Night Raw felt like a smoother show than in weeks before. Of course, that’s an arguable point, the 3-hour length is still a source of frustration, and WWE are far from doing everything right. That said, at least there was an abundance of in-ring action on the show, a lot of which featured Seth Rollins.
Rollins is getting a lot of airtime right now, and rightfully so. As the reigning WWE World Heavyweight and United States Champion, the man should definitely be a focal point of the flagship program. Granted, his show-opening promo was a little drawn out, and it wasn’t good he received ‘boring’ chants from the live crowd, but the former member of The Shield rescued it well.

The story was sourced from a report at PWInsider, which has since been retracted.
Orton is currently scheduled to work WWE house show events this weekend in Huntsville, Alabama and Tupelo, Mississippi. Perhaps the folks in Baltimore were merely bummed after their Orioles endured a 15th loss in 18 games – how's that for cheap heat? – but they were a hard lot to please last night. Not that the show merited much enthusiasm. Sting is now scheduled for next week’s WWE Raw in Baltimore, PWInsider are reporting.
This would be the second week in a row WWE haven’t had Sting scheduled, but then changed plans and decided to feature him. That decision for the last episode of Raw helped to give WWE one of their best television ratings in months. Clearly the increase has been observed, leading WWE to pull Sting in again for next week. He’s making a difference to viewership, so WWE are definitely going to want more from him.
The plans changed on Thursday. Given this perceived value in having him on television, it also has to help his chances of becoming WWE Champion at Night Of Champions. It would surely give Raw a very good rating if Sting won at Night Of Champions, leading fans to tune in the next night and see the WCW Icon as WWE Champion.

WWE’s Night Of Champions 2015 will be headlined by quite the colossal title bout. In the main event, Sting will challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. This will be the Stinger’s first Pay-Per-View appearance since WrestleMania, and his first crack at the WWE Title. It’s a huge match, but it’s not the first big main event the PPV series has seen.
Over the years, WWE have pulled out some big matches for Night Of Champions. The event is considered part of the Vengeance lineage, even though it only became a true standalone event in 2008. Nonetheless, the show entitled, ‘Vengeance: Night Of Champions’ from 2007 will be considered for the entries on this list.
Matches such as Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena (2014), Cm Punk vs. Jeff Hardy (2009) and Triple H vs. John Cena (2008) have all been huge bouts in the main event slot.

With SummerSlam concluded, WWE are now embarking on their fall season towards Survivor Series. It is traditionally a minefield of critical and commercial disappointment, with past years being a snooze-fest before creative start to think towards WrestleMania.
Worryingly, it is also a period in which television ratings fall. When you consider that viewership is already in the gutter, things could get really ugly in the coming months. Pay per view performance has also been bad in this season, so Network subscriptions are also likely to fall.
Aware of all of that, WWE are surely preparing a strong line up of directions for the SummerSlam to Survivor Series period. This feature will take a look at some of the directions, and what could be main eventing the forthcoming major shows.

SummerSlam 2015 was dubbed the biggest in history long before the event actually took place. WWE went into hype overload to promote the show, and much of that promotion was centered around one match. When Brock Lesnar defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX, the entire pro wrestling world sat stunned. Few could believe what they’d witnessed, but it seemed only a matter of time before a rematch would happen.
At SummerSlam, it did. There were other big bouts on the Pay-Per-View, but none were more fitting headliners than Lesnar vs. Undertaker. The big question was, would ‘Taker avenge his ‘Mania winning streak, or would Brock dominate once again? That question made for an alluring story, one which capped off a bumper event.
In other matches, John Cena faced Seth Rollins and Cesaro clashed with Kevin Owens. There weren’t really too many down sides to SummerSlam 2015, but this...

Oh, what a three hours and five minutes it was in Detroit's oft-referenced Joe Louis Arena on Monday night. Faces long in absentia descended, queasy alliances seemed to gel and poor Fandango and Adam Rose were emphatically re-cemented as transitional squash talent.
It's a lot to take in, I know. But neither quiver nor fret, because as always, I've broken the action down into five essential takeaways. And, as a bonus, thrown in a bunch of stuff that may have taught us nothing, but gave everyone something to tweet about.

WWE’s situation with Brock Lesnar is getting more uncertain as the WWE superstar nears the end of his current contract. The Wrestling Observer reports that there has been a lot of talk that Lesnar’s price tag might not justify using him for shows other than Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. The Observer goes on to cast doubt over Lesnar’s ability to be financially viable for WWE. The company is in a period of cost cutting as they look to handle the expense of the WWE Network. Lesnar is a very expensive talent to use and he hasn’t impacted on the product as much as WWE would hope. For example, WWE Battleground (without Lesnar) did 31,000 Us PPV buys in July. In comparison, Night Of Champions (with Lesnar) did 30,000 Us PPV buys in September. Granted there is the Network, but that doesn’t cover for it, as...
This week’s edition of WWE Monday Night Raw was the last episode before Sunday’s Hell in a Cell PPV. New matches were announced to give seven total matches for the PPV at this point while the Kickoff Show has a special event too. Here’s a rundown of everything we know so far.
They spent most of Raw pushing the idea that there will be a double main event at Hell in a Cell with two matches inside of the actual cell. We knew that going in, but we don’t know what match is going to go on last at this point.
John Cena vs. Randy Orton in a Hell in a Cell Match - It’s a match we’ve seen many times before and they even had a Hiac match five years ago. They can talk all they want about this being the...

It has been a trying time for WWE recently. Since the launch of the WWE Network a lot has happened. Daniel Bryan won the WWE World Title, got injured and was forced to forfeit the belt. Cena won the belt soon afterwards. The Shield split up, Roman Reigns began his ascension to the top of WWE and Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose began a feud with one another. Bray Wyatt was squashed by John Cena in a crappy feud, and then Chris Jericho returned to WWE, beating Wyatt in his return PPV match. There were a lot of things wrong with WWE television, and still are, with the product becoming stale and the feuds becoming either too long or rehashed too many times. So, we head in to SummerSlam, for the sixth consecutive year held in Los Angeles, California; and a card that isn’t exactly captivating on paper, though...

The WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View takes place on Sunday October 26th in Dallas, Texas. There were five weeks between Night of Champions and Hell in a Cell. It seemed like WWE took their sweet time in getting their card set up. There were all kinds of rumors about what matches might take place and in what setting, but now it seems like they have everything in order.
The two main events were set up on Raw while others were confirmed on WWE.com as well. Here’s a look at the five announced matches.
Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose in a Hell in a Cell Match - Ambrose faces Rollins after he beat John Cena on Raw in a “Contract in a Pole” Match that he won because of the interference of The Authority. While Cena was giving Kane an Attitude Adjustment, Ambrose scaled the turnbuckle...

It has been expected to be happening for several weeks and now it’s official. At WWE Hell in a Cell on October 26th, John Cena will face Dean Ambrose in a singles match. The winner of that contest gets to face Seth Rollins inside Hell in a Cell. The matches were announced at the end of Raw by WWE’s on screen Chief Operating Offer Triple H and his wife Stephanie McMahon.
The match between Cena and Ambrose will match two babyfaces against each other. Just because they are both faces doesn’t mean they are necessarily friends. Cena’s been having issues with Ambrose for weeks now just because they both have wanted to get their hands on Rollins. This week’s Raw ended with Ambrose laying out Cena with a double arm Ddt that Cena wasn’t expecting.

During Cesaro’s match with Sheamus at Night of Champions, there were a group of fans sitting in camera view that were wearing referee shirts. Apparently there was a fan handing out small “King of Wrestling” signs, similar to the “Cesaro Section” signs that we saw in the crowds a few months back. Keep in mind that some of the “Cesaro Section” signs were handed out by WWE to make him look like a bigger star.
At the start of the Sheamus/Cesaro match, the fans in the referees shirts were holding the “King of Wrestling” signs. Somebody in WWE must not have liked it because as the match got going, security staff went up to the fans to take the signs away. No reason was given as to why the signs were taken away. This Tuesday on WWE Main Event, two more matches were made official for WWE’s Night of Champions PPV on September 21 in Nashville. The two matches will see Randy Orton take on Chris Jericho and Roman Reigns will match up with Seth Rollins in a battle of former Shield members.
The Orton/Jericho rivalry is something that goes back many years, most notably when Jericho came back to WWE towards the end of 2007 with Orton in position as the top heel in the company. They’ve had several matches over the years. Most likely the reason they’re doing the feud is to give Orton a win over a big name after he lost to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. It was set up this week on Raw when Orton attacked Jericho in the trainer’s room. Jericho’s expected to be out of WWE after Night of Champions...

This week on Smackdown, Rusev agreed to Mark Henry’s challenge for a match at WWE Night of Champions on September 21. While Rusev was in the ring with Lana doing one of their promos where they were criticizing the United States, Henry walked onto the stage and wondered if they would accept his challenge.
After they said yes, Henry spoke with confidence in front of the appreciative American crowd when he said: “At Night of Champions, I’m going to give you a good old fashioned, red, white and blue ass whooping. You understand me?” Sometimes crowd reactions on Smackdown are obviously fake, which we have been able to tell for 15 years, but when Henry spoke to Rusev in that manner you could tell the crowd reaction was very real.

The divas have been on the receiving end of more TV time in the past few months. With Total Divas set to return this weekend on the E Network, WWE has made a point to feature the Bella Twins a lot more. The producers of Total Divas suggested to WWE that the Bella Twins have a feud, so WWE is doing it on their programming. For those of you that think “reality TV” is real, sorry to say that it’s about as real as pro wrestling storylines a lot of the time.
This past week on Raw we saw the Bellas in the ring doing a promo with Stephanie McMahon when former Divas Champion Aj Lee made her way down to the ring and then the current Divas Champion Paige was there to kind of say “hey what about me?” No match for Night of Champions was announced during Raw,...

This week’s Smackdown was taped in Ontario, California, with several implications for September’s Night Of Champions. Due for broadcast this Friday, the main event will be The Wyatt Family vs Roman Reigns, Big Show and Mark Henry. Results and spoilers follow.
The show opened with Roman Reigns vs Bray Wyatt. Reigns ended up winning by disqualification when Erick Rowan and Luke Harper attacked. This resulted in a Wyatt Family beatdown of the former Shield leader, until Big Show and Mark Henry ran in to make the save. The six man main event was then set for later in the show.
Seth Rollins defeated Rob Van Dam. The finish saw Rollins hit the curb stomp for the pin. Afterwards, Van Dam exited the ring quickly, and he’s expected to leave WWE imminently. His latest run has been bland and there’s doubt if he or WWE...

As previously discussed, the initial SummerSlam plan called for Daniel Bryan to defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Brock Lesnar. However, with Bryan’s injury, a new champion had to be found. Of course, the easiest and most established choice to carry the title in the interim was John Cena.
While SummerSlam’s championship main event went off without a hitch, Brock’s title win has left many in WWE scratching their heads. Although Lesnar once again becoming WWE Champion has been the plan all along — despite the change in opponent — the company is unsure of how to handle his reign from here on out.
The current plan calls for Lesnar to lose the championship to Roman Reigns at next year’s WrestleMania, in the hopes of creating another major star and classic Mania moment. While that plan is undoubtedly still in place, seven months is a...

The title of WWE’s upcoming Sting DVD will be ‘The Best Of Sting.’ There’s also a new cover image, which depicts crow Sting on a simple white background. The release will come as part of a 3 disc set and will be available on both DVD and Blu Ray in September. Amazon is currently stating the exact release date of September 23rd. What’s interesting about that is it follows Night Of Champions by two days. Perhaps the September 21st event will be when Sting finally debuts, creating maximum relevancy and interest around the DVD release.
The Best Of Sting promises to be a chronicle of his entire career. It will feature more than two dozen matches in total, many never before released on DVD. Several of the contests are Sting vs Ric Flair, which is testament to the enduring rivalry that both men had. Needless to say,...

This week’s Raw really wasn’t a great episode of WWE’s Monday night show, but they were able to finalize the SummerSlam lineup. For the past few weeks we have been able to confirm a few matches, but after Raw we know eight matches that are definitely happening at the summer spectacular on August 17 in Los Angeles. They’re listed on WWE.com now, so let’s have a quick look at all of them.
John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship - The main event of the show was furthered on Raw by airing a video package with comments from Lesnar and Cena. Neither guy was at Raw, so it was smart of WWE to air the video package. They actually aired it twice just so they could make sure people saw it.
Both men are expected to be at Raw next week.

WWE are still planning something major for Cesaro and Paul Heyman. According to F4wonline.com, it was said this past week that the “amicable split” between the wrestler and manager was part of a slow build to something bigger. That could mean Lesnar vs Cesaro at September’s Night Of Champions.
If WWE are building Cesaro to battle Lesnar, they’re certainly going a strange way about it. The Swiss superstar has lost a string of matches on television, coming off as little more than a jobber in recent efforts. He was then split away from Paul Heyman, although the two did have a segment together last week on Raw. In that brief encounter, Cesaro noted Heyman was still his friend.
In truth, that whole storyline has made Cesaro look very weak. He isn’t bothered by Heyman not representing him any more? It makes it seem...

Brock Lesnar will return on Raw next Monday, Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports.
Current WWE plans (which obviously could change) are for Lesnar to make his comeback on the show emanating from Miami, Florida, just a day after the WWE Battleground pay per view. The episode is expected to set in motion Lesnar’s SummerSlam feud with John Cena.
In a small coincidence, the Miami venue is the same location that Lesnar made his original return back in 2012, in a famous angle where he destroyed Cena. We might see something very similar this Monday – same guys, same location, same angle.
Lesnar’s feud with Cena will be the centrepiece of WWE television over the next two months. The pair will headline SummerSlam in Los Angeles, with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship expected to be on the line. Following August we have Night Of Champions in September, which WWE will...

There is talk of WWE booking Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns as a WWE title feud over WrestleMania season, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
This is a long term plan which would see Reigns win the Royal Rumble and later topple Lesnar to become WWE Champion at WrestleMania 31. The idea is that this strong babyface journey, triumphing over such a dominant heel superstar, would make Reigns the ‘new John Cena’. He would become the number one star, building upon the already impressive reactions he is getting in 2014.
The Observer report states that the plans could include Lesnar beating John Cena for the WWE title at SummerSlam. With Network subscriptions expiring, September’s Night Of Champions needs to be equally as big, so Lesnar is also booked for that show. Beyond that, how does WWE get around having a part time Champion? They did it with The Rock in 2013, but what...

There is talk of a possible swerve at the Money In The Bank pay per view this weekend, which would involve Randy Orton winning the WWE title.
The news comes from the latest Figure Four Weekly Newsletter, stating that it would then lead to Orton vs Roman Reigns vs John Cena at Battleground in July. This match would then see Cena finally winning the title, establishing Cena vs Lesnar for the belt at SummerSlam. Orton meanwhile would go on to face Reigns in a one on one match at the August show.
Reigns had originally been scheduled to face Triple H at SummerSlam, but WWE are considering delaying that until September’s Night Of Champions. The logic behind that is to do with the expiring WWE Network subscriptions. The first batch of subscribers will expire after SummerSlam, and the temptation might be to hold off on re-subscribing until...

The WWE SummerSlam card is finalised, with Brock Lesnar expected to main event for the WWE Title, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The original plan had been Lesnar facing Daniel Bryan for the title, but Bryan may not be back until September’s Night Of Champions. The likely scenario is that whoever wins the WWE title at the Money In The Bank pay per view will end up defending against Lesnar this August. This means a babyface is probably going to win the ladder match, which would realistically mean John Cena or Roman Reigns. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Cesaro is WWE’s front runner to win 2014′s Money In The Bank briefcase. There will only be one briefcase ladder match on the show and Cesaro is currently the man who is being talked about for winner, however the report can’t confirm that the final decision has been made.
The briefcase would certainly be yet another boost for Cesaro’s burgeoning 2014 status. He has already won the WrestleMania Andre Battle Royal and since gone on to become a main star with his role alongside manager Paul Heyman. A briefcase win would further elevate him and set him up for potential thrilling matches with Daniel Bryan. It’s very unlikely that Cesaro would end up like last year’s briefcase winner Damien Sandow who lost to John Cena and saw his career go down the drain. WWE have Cesaro earmarked as...

Brock Lesnar is set to return to WWE later this summer for a two show run at SummerSlam and Night Of Champions, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
WWE is stacking up the August and September period due to the first batch of Network subscriptions expiring at that time. People might have been tempted to ditch their subscription as the fall period tends to be fairly dull in WWE, one idea for fans might have been to cancel in September and then pick the subscription back up in January for the WrestleMania season.
WWE will manage to negate these moves by adding attractions such as Lesnar into the autumn calendar. The first Network subscriptions will expire on the 2nd September, just a couple of weeks after SummerSlam and almost three weeks before the Night Of Champions show. If fans want to complete whatever story Brock is involved in at that time,...

With 2013 now receding in the rear view mirror, it’s time for the customary retrospectives to begin appearing on the shelves, and the first one out of the WWE stable is Best PPV Matches 2013, which as you might expect does exactly what it says on the tin. Well, almost.
My one minor gripe with the WWE and their annual PPV retrospectives is that they don’t cover the full calendar year. Though they’ve thoughtfully included a match from the, at time of writing, unreleased Hell in a Cell DVD/Blu-ray (due later this month, on 27th January), there’s nothing from either Survivor Series or TLC, and so the pedant in me has issues with it technically being the best of 2013 (particularly given the importance of the title unification bout between John Cena and Randy Orton at the latter). I could understand if they were rushing it out for...

Relive another historic year with The Best Pay-per-view Matches 2013, featuring over 15 of WWE’s most intense matches from its biggest events! The Rock returns to finally bring home the WWE Championship for the first time in ten years. Cm Punk tries to extinguish Undertaker’s Streak in front of over 80,000 screaming fans. Triple H attempts to tame The Beast, Brock Lesnar. John Cena battles back from injury to win the World Heavyweight Championship, and much more!
The whole idea of a annual release containing hand-picked matches from pay-per-view shows throughout the course of the previous year is a good one, providing fans who might not buy the shows or collect each DVD release a chance to see what WWE consider to be the best matches they’ve promoted within a calender year.
There are bound to be strong years and weaker ones in wrestling, and 2013 was a mixed bag, which...

Find out how Randy managed to take down The Big Show, then get all the results from one of the WWE’s biggest nights!
WWE Champion Randy Orton had the cards stacked against him when he faced The Big Show on Nov. 24 during the title match of WWE Survivor Series. As the organization’s official site points out, Randy has relied heavily on the interference of outside forces to retain his title, but Triple H made it clear that all Survivor Series face-offs would be strictly one-on-one. So how did the Viper manage to slither his way to victory?
Despite Triple H being adamant about no one interfering in the match, that’s exactly how Randy ended up winning! The Big Show was clearly going to steal the title from Randy — until Triple H, Kane and Stephanie McMahon showed up to distract the world’s largest athlete. Without physically intervening,...

Georges successfully defended his Ufc welterweight title for a ninth time on Nov. 16, defeating his opponent by split decision. But did the judges make the right call? The president of the Ufc doesn’t think so!
As if two grown men brutally punching and kicking each other wasn’t dramatic enough, Ufc 167 had some added controversy when Georges St-Pierre defeated challenger Johny Hendricks for the Ufc welterweight title in a split decision that many did not agree with.
Georges St-Pierre Wins Controversial Ufc Match
Johny fought a valiant fight, landing big punches on Georges all night, and most who watched the fight assumed he would be named the winner. But the sold-out crowd at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. were stunned when the five-round fight was scored 48-47 in Georges’ favor.
The fans booed loudly and Johny dropped to his knees stunned, but no one was more...
