This consists of interviews with the cast and crew, all of whom have something compelling to add within their area of expertise(and there is a very clear love of what they're working on), clips from the subject, behind-the-scenes footage, and incomplete effects shots. The subject is making the titular creature move for the 1997 Special Edition of A New Hope.
It's 26 and a half minutes long. This is found on Disney+.
They talk about the dewbacks. Making them move. The construction of the original piece, and its limitations. Taking us through the process, including finding the original negative in storage. What ILM needs to get the work done. Figuring out the biological features, to have that to work from. Previsualization. The challenges. Matching the new stuff to the original footage. Getting to experience the dream of being in Star Wars as a Stormtrooper. Making it clear there's more forces on Tatooine than we saw in the theatrical cut.
I recommend this to any fan of the property. 8/10.
