They could call the episode the beginning of the end. It looks like Tom and Julia, as a collaborative writing team, will be parting as each pursues his own effort. Ditto for Karen and Jim. With their apparent breakup, Jimmy goes off the wall and arrives at a presentation stoned, drunk and what not. Needless to say, he makes a fool out of himself; although, the rest of the cast members are marvelous in "Hit List." Anyone know what this show is about, by the way?
To me, Jack Davenport, as Derek, steals the show by his very presence. Domineering and an absolute no nonsense type of guy, he fires Jimmy on the spot. The latter really lets loose at a gathering following an airing of "Hit List." Will Jimmy go the way of Marilyn Monroe? One is left to wonder about that.
