Some more information has surfaced for Star Wars: The Last Jedi thanks to EW. This new bit of information revolves around Carrie Fisher's General Leia and Oscar Isaac's Poe Dameron and their relationship in the story.
When talking about how Fisher's character has been defined over the years, he said:
“Her character to some degree or another has been defined by loss through this whole saga, starting with the loss of her home planet. She’s just taken hit after hit, and she’s borne it, and she focuses on moving forward and the task at hand.”
When The Last Jedi picks up with Leia, she is still in charge of the Resistance movement, which has been cut off from the Republic, and whose leadership was destroyed in The Force Awakens. Johnson explains that the resistance is now isolated and vulnerable:
“They’re a small band that’s now cut off,...

Editor’s Note: This article is presented in partnership with Bleecker Street’s release of “Anthropoid,” directed by Sean Ellis and starring Jamie Dornan and Cillian Murphy. “Anthropoid” is now playing in theaters.
This week, “Anthropoid” looks to join the ranks of a rich and complex cinematic history: films about World War II. A global conflict that has yielded global stories, World War II continues to be the basis for films that challenge our perceptions. “Anthropoid” uncovers an episode from before the fighting stopped, focusing on the attempt to assassinate high-ranking SS General Reinhard Heydrich. Writer/Director Sean Ellis uses the true-life mission as a backdrop for a talented ensemble, including Cillian Murphy, Jamie Dornan and Toby Jones.
The best of these modern WWII films never lose sight of the idea that this was a conflict fought by individuals. Their weapons and their ideologies were varied, but this was history...

Deep Silver have announced that Homefront: The Revolution is scheduled to release 17th May 2016 in North America, and 20th May 2016 in all other territories. Additionally a closed beta is due to run exclusively on Xbox One in February of this year.
Homefront: The Revolution is an open-world first person shooter where you must lead the Resistance movement in guerrilla warfare against a superior military force. A living, breathing, open world responds to your actions – you and your Resistance Cell can inspire a rebellion on the streets and turn Occupation into Revolution, as oppressed civilians take up the fight. But your enemy has the advantage – superior technology, firepower, heavy armour and air support. You must learn the art of guerrilla warfare – ambush, sabotage, infiltration, deception – and fight a running battle through the war-ravaged suburbs of Philadelphia. And the single player campaign is just the start – in Co-Op you and your friends...

People always ask me what my all time favorite film is. That’s a question with an impossible answer. I can’t name just one. But, stuck for an answer, I always tell them it’s the 1966 film "The Battle of Algiers" by Italian director Gillo Pontecorvo.. The film (which is available in a deluxe 3 blu-ray DVD set from Criterion) is a searing and exciting docudrama which deals with the beginnings of the Algerian Resistance movement in the late 50′s to throw French colonialists out of the country and gain independence. I don’t have enough words to tell you about that film. It’s perfect as far as I’m concerned, and I urge all readers out there to check it out. But this piece...

Pulses across the galaxy are currently racing thanks to the release of an eerie new teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The fresh Lucasfilm clip begins with the armies of the First Order amassing, before new villain Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and the heroic Finn (John Boyega) prepare for battle by drawing their light sabers.
A video posted by Digital Spy (@digitalspy) on Aug 28, 2015 at 2:55am Pdt
In the background of those clips, an ominous voice can be heard saying; "There's been an awakening. Have you felt it?"
The clip finally reveals that Finn is Kylo Ren's opponent in a snowy light saber battle that was first previewed in director Jj Abrams's original teaser.
While Kylo Ren is the film's main villain, he is not actually a member of the Sith Lord faction from earlier Star Wars movies.

"There is nothing you cannot do," Tao Porchon-Lynch's website reads. And the 96-year-old, who recently competed on America's Got Talent, is living proof of that maxim.
Porchon-Lynch is certified by Guinness World Records as the world's oldest yoga teacher – she teaches at various studios around her home in White Plains, New York. Yoga is her first love; she "only" took up competitive dancing when she was 84. (She's had three hip replacements and has broken several bones, including her wrist, not that you could really tell.) A devout vegetarian, Porchon-Lynch strenuously avoids medication and supplements.

Teen-focused sci-fi dystopias are all the rage at the moment, between this month's The Maze Runner, Divergent, The Host, and of course the mighty Hunger Games. But none of them can hold a candle to Michael Anderson's classic Logan's Run, which was made the year before Star Wars came along and changed sci-fi blockbusters forever.
Based on the cult novel by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson, the film is set in 2274, with the remnants of humanity living in a computer-controlled, sealed, domed city after a non-specific apocalypse. 23rd century society is pretty much a utopia: citizens get to shop, take drugs and have sex as much as they like, with the central computers taking care of reproduction and, it's implied, child-rearing. There's just one catch: when you turn 30, you are deemed no longer useful to society and you have to either take your chances in a bizarre...
