Good script. Good talent. Too bad the director sucked.

You have a good story and mostly really good, capable actors. But if the director lacks the ability to relate to talent, the story goes up in smoke. Such was the case with this film. For the most part, the characters lacked affect. I put that squarely on the director for not guiding his cast to act human. Mostly I felt very little emotion from the actors. Seems like they called it in an were not in the league to afford such luxury.

This was another case of "I have a script, my cousin has a clothing store and I have a house we can shoot in".

The shooting was also very poorly directed with lapses in continuity that didn't make sense, action that was poorly executed and I won't even comment on the editing and the score.

My bottom line is if you consider cheating on your spouse, don't. It's not as simple as if your neighbour drives a hybrid, you should, too.

By all means, if you have a friend in the cast, see this film. You can be proud of their work and for them showing up on set. It's just unfortunate that the director came up lame.

This was amateur film making at its worst. I was amazed that any effort went into the awful plot with pretty much terrible acting. I'm sure high school students, seriously, have done better films.

It really irked me as well that instead of using their time and effort in a much more creative fashion, we got a stale, stereotyped characters with no depth. None of them were worth caring about. If you have no budget and nothing to loose, why not try to be original?

The lead female and black cop were the only bright spots. They may have some sort of future in acting. The rest need to find something else to do with their time.

Better than I expected!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie! The girls were hot and sexy, and the curvaceous Erin Cline is stunning, as usual! The acting was better than expected, and I thought it was well written and flowed nicely. Nothing I would expect to see at the Cineplex 42, but a great exhibit of local talent, produced by the gifted Chris Leto. Reaper Films is becoming famous for showcasing great young up and coming actors in demanding roles and incorporating some great local scenery into each shoot! The Tampa area is rich in character and Chris has a way of weaving that dynamic into the very fabric of his productions. I can't wait for the next Reaper Films offering! They just seem to get better each time!

Trouble in paradise

A killer starts bumping off various housewives in a quiet private community. The two detectives assigned to investigate the murders uncover a sordid underbelly of suburbia where sex, money, and power reign supreme. Director Christopher Leto, working from a compact script by Mike Lees, keeps the absorbing story moving along at a brisk pace, astutely captures the catty and gossipy backbiting snarkiness of the small town housewives, grounds the gripping premise in a believable everyday reality (you see the police making the rounds and interviewing assorted suspects and witnesses throughout), and delivers a decent smidgen of tasty nudity and nasty gore. The competent acting by the solid no-name cast helps a lot: Andrea Alfonso, Erin Cline, Melody Colina, and Jenny Casey are hot and convincing as the housewives, Adam McManus and Henry Washington do spot-on work as the no-nonsense detectives on the case, and Anthony Wayne contributes a sturdy turn as angry cuckold Brad Travis. Mike Niche's sunny cinematography provides a pleasing bright look. Chad Piche's shivery score hits the shuddery spot. Done in a compelling and persuasive low-key style, it's a neat little thriller.
