Recently declassified White House tapes show President Johnson struggling with daily issues in the Oval Office, including troublesome overseas operators, a lack of attractive black men in governmental positions and limited dessert options.
Was directed to this video by some website, possibly Mental Floss. I love history, especially the 20th century and quirky things about it. President Johnson was an interesting guy, very folksy. The way he talks to a British telephone operator is humorous, especially as he does not seem to realize hearing from "the president" is not the same for her.
Then there is the handsome black man part (I will not use the word he used). Out of context, this sounds very strange and somewhat insensitive. In context, I am not sure it is any better.
