Pilot entry to a quirky late fifties British television show
Paularoc9 September 2012
Introduced in the title credits as H.G. Wells Invisible Man, this episode is sufficiently intriguing to keep one watching the series. Scientist Peter Brady does research at Castle Hills Laboratories in molecular theory. During one of his experiments there is an accident and he becomes invisible. At first, the government wants to keep his invisibility a secret and Brady goes to an old friend for help. The friend tells him what a boon his invisibility will be in committing robberies and other nefarious acts. Brady will have none of that and he and his friend have a falling out. The special effects were good, especially for the times. Brady's niece is an engaging youngster without being annoying. I was not familiar with any of the actors but they gave polished performances.
