Reputable pirates captain Flint still can't break a period of apparent poor luck in 1715 when the latest ship raid brings very little loot. Actually what he's really after, a clue to the richest Spanish gold galleon, has been ripped from the captain's log. Turncoat John Silver, a dodger who took the slain cook's identity, gets it and harbors ambition as he realizes a pirate's life can be richly rewarding and Flint is risking being voted out. Silver teams up with a greedy brothel schemer.
