I am shocked to see such a low rating on one of the best episodes so far. Yes, we got it, the episodes should be longer and it is frustrating for us fans not to get to see more of this AMAZING cast. I smiled throughout the entire episode, the guest judge was hilarious, Rupaul was hilarious. All the queens are doing a fantastic job, looked amazing on that runway and challenge. I was so pleased to see them all perform on this episode that I am posting my first review on it. This is possibly the strongest cast we ever got so far (group wise) and it is a shame to see fans giving out 1 stars on an episode that was really fun to watch. And the Old Gays, that was heartwarming. Go watch untucked and see for yourselves. Thank you Queens for being a light in this world. Support our community and choose love.

Focuses on all the wrong material

The show had a promising start with such a great series premiere and it's kind of just went downhill from there. After the recent inundation of global versions of Drag Race, I was honestly looking forward to hour long episodes, but the move to MTV and increase in the number of queens seems to have diminished the quality of the scenes that make it to the screen. I mean this episode devoted and obscene amount of time to a stupid argument about which group got to do metal for the challenge and then relegated an extremely meaningful conversation about aging in the queer community to an Untucked segment. It just seems like they could choose to focus the limited run time on more meaningful and interesting material.
As for the challenge, I thought all the groups did relatively well and was annoyed that that they clearly just chose to edit the judges reactions to make the hip hop group perform the worst. And the absolute sprint of a runway didn't even allow for any of the queens self-commentary on their looks! A key part of the drag race format!! The judging just didn't match up with what was shown in the episode and it is just making the viewing experience less enjoyable as it goes on. This is the first time I've left a review for an episode and I've been watching since season 4. I'm glad Drag Race is getting more mainstream and understand it's completely based on Ru's opinions, but it's getting to the point where it feels like a chore to watch every episode.

MTV is killing this show

Seriously, we only get one minute of runway looks? And just when I thought the pacing had gotten better. MTV airs 6+ hours of Riculousness every day. Would it kill them to add 30 back onto Drag Race? The sped-up pace of the show is NOT working. We don't get to see half the things we'd regularly see in previous seasons because MTV wants to shove a show full of privileged gays that no one wants to see down our throats. Shortening the episodes (and therefore excluding some queens' screen time entirely) is not fair to the queens who have worked this hard to get on the show and in this spot in their career, let alone all the money they have to pay for runways. We should at least get to admire their looks some more, right? This condensed time is especially awful considering that this season has the biggest cast ever with all sorts of personalities, taking valuable time for storylines and getting to know these queens.
As for the episode itself, the judging was MESSED UP this episode. I don't agree with who won, and the judges seem to be treating a few queens too harshly for no reason. The guest judge also was awful and not funny.

This entire season has just been a train wreck, but it shows very clearly in this episode. They only have 40 minutes to showcase what the episode is and yet, for some reason, a much too large chunk of time was dedicated to a dispute over a song choice which felt VERY unnecessary & made that scene sort of drag on for way too long. You can't blame the queens because at the end of the day, they're trying to put on an entertaining show and they didn't know the edit would come out the way it did, which makes it seem from the outside like the queens are misusing their air time when, really, the fault falls on the editors and show-runners. These queens have sunken untold amounts of money and passion and time into their drag just to have it be seen for maybe a couple minutes each episode, for each queen. This has definitely been one of the most disappointing seasons to consume as a long time fan of Drag Race & this episode is definitely the worst offender so far.

This 40 minute edit is abysmal. They focus on all the wrong material, it's rushed, chaotic and without heart. The entire premise of the series is that it's a competition reality game, and what section do they choose to cut - the judges deliberation; literally the core of the show.
And this episode in particular was painful because they barely showed more than a screenshot of each queen walking the runway. Seeing the looks, and laughing with the panel and their puns was also one of the most joyous and entertainting elements of the show; in fact it is Rupaul, Michelle, Carson and Ross that will ALWAYS make the USA original franchise superior to all the spin-offs. But now that's dead.
The series feels dead and it's a shame because this season's cast deserves better. We all deserve better.

I'm so tired of drag race just rehashing the same boring joke formats because Rupaul has the sense of humor of a kindergartener. They really want us to sit through 3 terrible songs making all the same boring jokes about old ladies and saggy boobs and death. They really want us to sit through that and enjoy it, for the 20th time over however many seasons we've had, it's just not funny, and it seems desperate at this point. "oh no we're out of ideas what do we do!? I know! Sometimes people get old and that's hilarious because they look different and they're gonna die soon, lets make an entire episode like that."

It's painful watching what has happened to RPDR S15, as with other reviews, the episodes are too short. One hour would be perfect, nothing more and nothing less. There is no genuine banter, remember the clip with Rupal and Utica? Hilarious. This season has none of that. I miss the judge deliberation. The runways are all rushed. Compared to last season and even that before, the quality of the Queens is lacking. Is it time to take a break? Are there enough Queens in the USA to deliver year after year? I keep watching this season hoping there will be something to save the train wreck alas, this weeks episode was just as bad.
Could have been great. What a shame.

On any other season this might have been a rather iconic episode. Unfortunately with the limited runtime, it was unenjoyable. The performances were great but the whole experience was rushed and felt lacklustre. What a shame for the queens who put in too much work to be done the disservice of a 7 second runway presentation and zero judges' deliberation. The shorter runtime seemed more stark in this episode. As a long time fan I'm torn between continuing to watch and just giving up. Hopefully the production team will take note of viewers' feedback and adjust for the next season. Anyhow, let's see what happens.
