Susie is wearing an early WWII US Army (including the Army Air Forces) dog tag. It has a notch at the end opposite the looped end. It contains five stamped lines of information. The top two lines were the soldier's name, serial number, religion, and blood type. The next three lines were the name and address of the next of kin. This format was discontinued by 1944, leaving just the top two lines. The Navy and Marines used a disk for their dog tags.
The bronze statue behind Midge, during her video to Susie, is Frederick Remington's 'The Bronco Buster'. It was Remington's first cast bronze, copyrighted in October, 1895. The bronze was prominently featured in Ronald Reagan's Oval Office.
Alex Borstein (Susie Myerson) and Will Sasso (Carmine Streeto) starred together in the Mad TV cast from 1997-2009. Will has also done several voices on Family Guy, which also stars Alex as Lois Griffin.
Stewart Jones is played by Sean Gunn, who played Kirk Gleason in Gilmore Girls, another Palladino show.
