It is movies like this that remind me why I love those small (indie) movies. A strong story and the two leads are not just amazing themselves but have great chemistry together. Timothée Chalamet for me is kind a like Meryl Streep. It is impossible that he is not good in a movie. This even being one of his earlier performances it truely sticks out.
Lily Rabe on the other hand gives also a performance to remember. The second strong woman is Julia Hart who deliveres a well directed debut. The film avoids all the usual clichés and never judges. It shows that people are flawed no matter if they are confused teenagers or grieving teachers. What connects them is the struggle.
