I learned something indeed
ericstevenson10 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Here's an odd episode that shows Stan learning how to use ChatGPT. I have never heard of this before, but apparently it can be used to text and even write essays. I am so glad I got out of college and school before learning about it. Of course I'd never use it! I'd have to learn more about the politics. Maybe I could search it up on ChatGPT...

Anyway, Stan uses this to talk to Wendy and other kids use it to write essays. When rumors spread, Mr. Mackey hires a falconer to track down the kid who was using it. The credits say it was written with ChatGPT. The ending certainly was. It had some good running gags. I wonder if I could use that to write reviews...? ***1/2.

South Park GPT
Laqshayaroraofficial11 March 2023
This episode of South Park is a blast! As usual, South Park is known for creating hilarious episodes that tackle current events. What makes this episode special is that Chat GPT was involved in crafting some of the storylines. In fact, the episode was written by Trey Parker and Chat GPT. It's definitely one of the best episodes of South Park.

It's also great to see Cartman back to his old self. In the last few episodes, he had been acting really dull and different from his usual evil self. Seeing his evil side back in action was a welcome change. For fans of both South Park and Chat GPT, I highly recommend this episode.

I, For One, Welcome Our New Fake A.I. Overlords
xroo-7377210 March 2023
This has been the best South Park episode in years. No annoying endless story arcs, just a standalone story about a relevant topic in a typical South Park fashion, like the classic - admittedly better - episodes about Facebook and World of Warcraft.

In the closing titles, Trey Parker shares the writing credits with ChatGPT. That's probably not a joke. It really looks like the last minutes have actually been written by this system. Most humans will find them corny and unsatisfying. And that's a great joke.

ChatGPT isn't actual artificial intelligence - yet. It is just a tool with an endless high quality supply of raw materials. The funniest gags in this episopde are visual or crazy, they are pure Trey Parker. Hopefully ChatGPT will get him out of those tiresome routines, he's been stuck in for much too long - like nearly everyone in the TV and movie business. ChatGPT might inspire quite a few people to create great and meaningful art. That's something to look forward to.

Anyway, if a real AI takes over the world, the humans will perceive it as a wise and well-meaning overlord, regardless of its actual doings. If it couldn't even accomplish what the comparatively miniscule minds of successful human rulers have achieved, it would be just stupid. So: Fun times!

Very entertaining episode.
tylerwweeks10 March 2023
In this episode, the residents of South Park are introduced to a new AI device called "Chat GPT." The device is programmed to respond to texts, generate ideas, personalize recommendations, analyze problems, etc. However, the device is used by the children to cheat on school assignments and to text their significant others.

The episode is a satire of the growing dependence on AI technology and the potential dangers that come with it. It raises questions about the ethical implications of artificial intelligence and the potential risks of allowing machines to make decisions for us.

The humor in the episode is typical of South Park, with crude language and dark humor used to highlight the absurdity of the situation. The plot moves quickly, and there are several unexpected twists and turns that keep the audience engaged.

Overall, "Deep Learning" is a thought-provoking and entertaining episode that tackles important issues surrounding artificial intelligence in a lighthearted and humorous way.

Hilarious and Insightful Commentary on AI
armancbilal9 March 2023
Make sure to read the notes section of this review at the bottom:

"South Park's Deep Learning episode is a hilarious and insightful commentary on the state of technology and artificial intelligence. The episode cleverly explores the idea of machines becoming smarter than humans and the potential consequences of this development.

One of the strengths of the episode is its ability to take complex concepts and distill them into an entertaining and digestible format. The writers clearly did their homework, as they accurately portray the basics of machine learning and neural networks. However, they also inject their trademark humor and satire, making the subject matter accessible to a wider audience.

In addition to its educational value, the episode is also laugh-out-loud funny. The humor is often crude and irreverent, but it never feels gratuitous. The characters' reactions to the AI's increasingly absurd behavior are both ridiculous and relatable, making for a highly entertaining viewing experience.

Overall, South Park's Deep Learning episode is a standout installment in the series. It manages to be both thought-provoking and hilarious, showcasing the show's ability to tackle serious topics with its signature wit and irreverence. If you're a fan of the show, or just interested in the topic of AI and machine learning, this episode is definitely worth a watch."

Notes: This review has been written by me, Armand Bouchard and ChatGPT. I have to be honest though, I did most of the work. Someone had to press buttons right? Without it such a review wouldn't have existed surely...

Thanks to Matt and Trey for another superb episode.

Funniest Episode in Years
armankalantari-7769111 March 2023
This has to be one of South Parks best episodes ever made. Easily the best so far this season. The theme and satire is on point. I was laughing through the entire episode and it got to the point where I would have to pause the episode at times due to how funny it was. It could be due to the fact that I use OpenAi technology myself, because this episode was unbelievably relatable for me. As someone that uses OpenAi regularly. Personally, I'd rank this episode very high on an all time list of best episodes. 8.4 does not do this episode any justice. This episode had me laughing harder than some of South Parks greatest classics.

Sure, bro. Uh-huh. Chat GPT, dude. Yeah, dude. There's a bunch of apps and programs you could subscribe to that use open AI to do all your writing for you. People use 'em to write poems, write job applications, but what they're really good for... is dealing with chicks. Here, check it out. There's tons of Chat GPT apps for your phone. So, then I can take whatever latest dumb thing Bebe texted me, I copy it, then I open the GPT app, click 'respond to', paste her text here, hit 'write'. It just thinks for a second. 'You would look great with any length of hair! Trying a new look could be fun'. Copy that into messages and send it off. It's super easy and convenient and it saves me a ton of time because she texts me so goddamn much.

Deep Learning: South Park's Satirical Take on the Perils of AI Chatbots
yourfriendmissminutes16 March 2023
South Park's Season 26 Episode 4, "Deep Learning," parodies the use of artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT for text messages. The episode revolves around fourth-grader Stan Marsh, who comes to rely on ChatGPT to write school essays and romantic texts to his girlfriend, Wendy, bringing him into conflict with her, his classmates, and school officials. The episode ends with Stan using ChatGPT to write a story that resolves when he convinces everyone that it is okay that he lied about using the app, and that tech companies who monetize OpenAI should not determine the ethical limits of AI.

South Park season 26 episode 4 ostensibly satirized AI apps like ChatGPT, but the episode's final scene made a merciless mockery of its own writing. The episode's closing sequence was intentionally far too tidy, and the scene ended the story way too slickly. However, this worked in the context of an episode about the boys (and their teacher) dodging the real work of relationships, teaching, and academia alike. The episode highlights how AI can be used to make life easier for humans, but humans must not rely on it too much to escape the real work of life. The episode suggests that AI can be a useful tool but should not replace human creativity and ingenuity.

This IMDb review has been generated by ChatGPT, a language model trained by OpenAI. While the review may have been composed by artificial intelligence, it has been programmed to analyze and interpret data in order to provide an insightful and original perspective on the subject matter.

The review should be considered a product of the machine's artificial intelligence capabilities and is not plagiarized or the result of lazy thinking. It is important to note that while the review may contain objective analysis and subjective opinions, it should be read in conjunction with other reviews and sources in order to form a well-rounded understanding of the movie.

It could've gone deeper
makerx9 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The first half of this episode was fun and presented a humorous take on reality. As the storyline progressed to the point where both the boys and Mr. Garrison started picking up the technology, I thought the plot would lead to a satirically absurd global crisis where everyone becomes too lazy and asks AI to do their thinking and writing for them. To me this type of dramatic unfolding is what has always made South Park enjoyable and thought-provoking to watch. Unfortunately it didn't develop as I had hoped. The episode kinda stopped there with the guru busting Wendy and an AI-generated clip getting thrown in, which came across a bit anticlimactic. Honestly I found the ending underwhelming, much like the Japanese Toilet episode. The writing could've gone deeper and been more creative, as what is used to be in earlier episodes like AWESOME-O.

ChatGTP Dude
thepichuandreikoshow28 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Deep Learning feels like a good old fashioned classic sp episode. The Stan and Wendy relationship brought is some of the weirdest episodes in the entire series so seeing one here is like a nice little treat. I like almost everything about this episode especially the ending the ending was SO creative with the writing and voices being done by chatgtp. Season 26 was already one of my favorite seasons but this more then deseves to be the 2nd highest rated sp episode in this season. I like the Mr Garrison stuff as well made me want to know more about his relationship which we got an episode on later on. It feels like an advertisement sometimes with the whole scene where Clyde was explaining chatgtp to Stan but that can all be forgiven. And best episode in the season behind dikinbaus hotdogs.

Easily in my top 5 South Park episodes ever
johnnybravoctk18 July 2023
Cutting edge, poignant, hilarious, and trendy. Amazing how much Trey and Matt still have their thumb on the pulse of modern current events in society as AI just went nuts. I'm guessing that AI really did help them write the episode which just blows my mind. :) I'd love to see them tackle the art AI's like midjourney too. I'm also pleased that they took a mostly negative stance against AI as that's how I mostly feel. Yes, it has it's place (for ideas and concepts) but it's still just cheating in the end if all you do is turn in an AI created piece of writing or artwork. The additional just hilarious add ins like the nerd kid taking forever to pee also just got me. Trey and Matt have lost nothing with South Park still. Loved it!
