Gaiden the hang of this.

Just a quick review of this one, primarily because I was only able to give myself a brief refresher on the game before writing this, having actually played the game properly a year or two ago.

"10 Second Ninja X" is a single screen puzzle-platformer where the player controls a katana wielding Ninja. The player has 10 seconds to destroy a number of robots within the level, with the aim being to do it as quickly as possible. To help, the Ninja also has three projectile weapons that can been use to destroy the robots, or in later levels, to assist with movement around the world.

I both remembered (and found again) "10 Second Ninja X" to be a frustrating but addictive game. It plays fast, and you fail often, but the speed at which the game resets to encourage you to have another go mean that you'll lose hours to it without even realising. Like most puzzle games, and that's what it is really, you end up spending time trying to devise the way to progress (and generally completing a level isn't that difficult), then another way to get quicker, and then another way to shave milliseconds off your time to get a three-star rating on each one. Physical dexterity with the controller is also a factor, but it's more about the planning.

Graphically it's all it needs to be, a mostly cartoony effort, but the hitboxes are honest so it's difficult but fair. It's the sort of game I'll get again on the switch at some point, as it suits pick up and play perhaps more than it does the PS4. It's a really good example of this sort of game and I'd recommend it.
