Weirdly satisfying
RjNeel15 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I'm conflicted about the finale. As far as farewells go, you couldn't have asked for anything better than a Sinatra song and a scenic Spanish landscape. It was delightful. However, as a loyal, long-term viewer of 10 years, I felt betrayed that they didn't reveal Red's true identity (although Katarina seems obvious). It was the last of non-political and non-divisive shows. It marks the end of an era.

The first part was action-packed, while the second was an emotional rollercoaster. The showrunners paid tribute to "Jellybean" and acknowledged many other recurring characters in earlier episodes. The honor of the final monologue was that of Dembe, who nailed it in his own way. It wasn't just the character but the actor Hashim himself pouring his heart out. That was a neat closure.

The 218 episode long ride was entertaining. We might never get such shows again. Spader received a lot of praise for his performance, but the actors who played Aram, Harold, Liz, Ressler, and Dembe were just as good. It was the ultimate package. I think they killed Red to make Reddington IMMORTAL in tv entertainment history.

Best Mom
thinkMovies14 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The question, finally answered.

Red calls Agnes, one last time and gives her good advice on how to deal with a boy she likes. Agnes says "Thank you for being such a mom...".

"yeah... I guess I just can't help it..." responds Raymond Reddington.

Any questions? Watch Season 8, Episode 21, again, carefully this time. Thirty-five minutes into the episode.

Just one of the many hints over the years.

Raymond Reddington could not possibly be taken, by the FBI, his enemies, life, or death Himself. He chose the most amazingly brave, yet truly natural and fitting way to end the chapter that ended all chapters. I cannot imagine a more fitting way for him to say Goodnight.

So, what's on TV now?

Mixed Emotions
Carson10216 July 2023
Was there ever going to be a perfect way to end a show of this magnitude? Probably not. Without giving away any spoilers, the show had two routes to pick from- tie up all loose ends and make it feel good, or, just focus on the mystery that was Reddington and have him leave with all the grandiose he entered with. They very clearly chose to go with the second. Do I wish they at least gave some definitive endings to many of our beloved characters? Well, who wouldn't- but this still felt like an authentic ending to the show. It's just reality that there's a lot missing, but in my opinion the element of wondering it leaves you with is a lot of what made the show great, and I'm not upset they chose to end it in the way they did.

Red's Swansong
estathena215 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Although I'm saddened by this great series coming to an end, its finale left me satisfied for I was reminded of Tristan's end (Brad Pitt's character) in Legends of the Fall & One Stab's narration; "It was a good death." Red's end - the hints were given throughout the final season in almost every episode, small tips of the hat to his last bow - Red letting go of his earthly possessions because he knew he had no need for them where he was going. Every step he took was toward this, his death, and he was going to meet it on his terms when he was ready.

The last song said it all, The Gipsy Kings Spanish version of Sinatra's "My Way" and what a way it was, a true antihero, one who met the sword and defiantly pushed it in deeper.

I do find the last scene was rushed leaving me feeling cheated out of the reaction of his friends to the news, but then again Dembe's monolog of Red's raging against the dying of the light - the raw emotion of it, his voice breaking, that tear rolling down his cheek was enough.

Dembe should win an award for this performance. Warning: Spoilers
I'm not going to argue the point that the end was not what I was expecting. The key point was the whole season was setting you up to know Red was not well and was planning his death. He took care of everybody who meant something to him and if things would have gone according to plan Red would have rode off into the sunset to spend whatever time he had left Red's way. However the situation with Dembe changed this. He had to come back. When he shortened his life saving Dembe was the most touching moment of the series for me. But the soliloquy Dembe delivered explaining Red was the most dramatic performance of the series. He knocked it out of the park. This last season was the best in my opinion. A great show with everything wrapped up nicely. I loved how Red called Agnes one last time. One day a spin-off with her following in her moms shoes with Red's money would be awesome. With Dembe by her side.

Finale could have been better, but great show nontheless
magdi_iovi20 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Sorry, but I dont like the idea of Red being Katerina Rostova. His behaviour is just not woman like, I dont care how elegant he is. Did she turn gay as well when she turned into a man?

Apparently she did.

As for the finale...it could have been better, with more details and with some other more significant reason for Red to go to Spain, other than the random one of taken a bull's head back there.

Aram showing up would have been nice

Dembe and the team not trying so hard to catch Red would have been...more logical...I mean seriously? Does it make sense? After everything? Man u really cant trust no one anymore...

Oh, and as if this wasnt enough, throughout the seasons the task force uses Raymond in order to get criminals and they dont care how, he has immunity, but the minute he shuts down all his illegal activities (cant call them criminal really, they were doing more good than harm btw) he gets persecuted?? Wtf

Apart from this, Standing ovation to Spader of course, you deserve a good long vacation James. I am just convinced there is no better Raymond than the one you created and performed. Thank you for 10 amazing years, and I dont know who wrote the mini-stories you'd always tell, but many thanks to them too.

Review aside, I wanna say thank you to all the people that contributed and made this show possible, all in all you did a great job entertaining and bringing joy to a lot of people, and that's something to feel very good about.

Farewell Blacklist, an unforgettable show.

Can't decide
bernhede15 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Can't decide if this was the perfect end or the worst.

For over 10 years i have watched James Spader perform one of the best tv characters ever created, he deserves all the credibility and awards a man can get.

Anyway, after reading though others reviews i can totally see both sides. I'm giving this episode and ending a 5/10. Many of the other reviews i have read miss one point though.

To me, what kept me watching all these years, except for Spaders miraculous performance, even through a lot of filler episodes is the big question; Who is Raymond Reddington? It has been the shows biggest mystery and laid ground for everything else, and for a while i was at peace with it, knowing the end will come, i will know soon enough, but that didn't happen. To me the only reason not to display who he really was, was a reason to be able to make more episodes, but we won't get any more episodes will we? It feels like one of the biggest betrayals in writing history. All we got was a comment from Harold confirming that he is Agnes grandfather, but to what extent?

On a more positive note, even though i hated the task force going after him, it felt okay as Reddington sabotaged himself, he wanted this to happen. Seeing the task force struggle with his arrest was also a nice touch, because in the end we all rooted for Reddington. I like to believe, as another reviewer pointed out, that his health was declining, we have seen evidence of this before, but perhaps more now than ever, especially after saving Dembe. The scene was objectively good, and in line with Reddingtons character but I don't think it gave him or us a justified ending.

I apologize as english is my second language, and also this is my first ever written review, I have been passionate about this show for so many years, i just had to share my thought.

Red ended "Red's Way"
artieautry15 July 2023
I wept at the end. The end of everything boiled down to the most basic of things, to end things on one's own terms. No fancy escape, no mirrors or tricks, just listening to Dembe describing how Red lived life and faced his own mortality. So what if questions were left unanswered. This show started with questions, shouldn't it end with questions. I will miss this wonderful show, but in the end, as Red would say, it's not the end, it's the journey that counts. From the highs to the lows, from the twists and turns, far few too many Red speeches about living life or telling of an adventure down to the smallest of details that sweeps us up in the moment.

ending it "My way"
dee-amannte16 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It's not a bad episode, it's not a really good one either. I feel like many questions remain unanswered. The main one being - who's the real Raymond Reddington and who's the person who plays his role for so many years.

The ending is befitting to the character we know. And we saw the signs of him getting ill a couple of seasons ago. I also love the closure in terms of - was Ray a good or a bad person? As we can see, dismantling his whole criminal network, risking his own life for Dembe to survive, and clearly sparing Donald despite given the opportunity to kill him. Well, this is makes Ray the good guy and the Blacklist a list that made some really bad criminals taken off the street.

I'm going to miss the show for sure, I just wish that they'd given us more answers and this would end by having all the loose ends tied. I guess I'm just a sucker for those kind of endings ...

worst ending of a tv show ever (spoilers)
Clockwork-14 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
All that build up for 10 seasons, Reddington survived so many gunfights and other dangerous situations. Just to be killed by a bull? Laziest ending from the writers who just wanted him dead, no aftermath, his real identity still is not revealed.

They could've made epic ending for such show, or even not a bad one but they made the worst ending of a tv show i've ever seen. So many story lines still unresolved and we just get the ending where Ressler doesnt even care that Red died after all they've been through and that's it. I refuse to accept that ending and i hope in future we will refilm it with ai or something to make it better or just fire those writers and ask someone else to make a better ending.

The mystery is intact. Good night.
Kinder200015 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
In the last episode, I expected answers to many questions The Blacklist has given us. But we got no answer.

But it's for the best. Because the mystery of Reddington became just that: a mystery. And both Reddington and The Blacklist deserve a mystery. Now I can watch The Blacklist again and again with the same mystery hanging over the series.

However, many questions are easy to answer yourself.

Reddington must be Katarina. It is the only logical solution.

Agnes will be well looked after, and inherit both money, "luck" and protection in the future.

The task force is dissolved: Dembe will be cared for by Reddington, and he wanted a normal life.

Cooper retires.

Ressler continues in the FBI.

Malik returns to MI6.

The others are either dead or insignificant.

And the way Reddington dies feels satisfying. And much better than him being exposed to the electric chair or being shot down in the open street or, at worst, by someone from his own task force.

No one caught him. Nobody shot him. But the history of Reddington ends. It makes sense.

That Reddington, who did not fear death, dies in a special way is as typical as you can get.

On an incredibly sad day where the fantastic The Blacklist and superb Spader put an end to it, I find peace with the ending.

The Blacklist has meant a lot to me over 10 years. Thanks for everything. Good night, Raymond. *tears*

Suggested Spin-off: Agnes Keen, with her criminal genes, Reddington's legacy and a desire to live Elizabeth's FBI dream. :)

PS: sorry for bad English.

Awful Ending
Thexan14 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This has to be the worst episode, not in this season, the WHOLE SERIES. This incredible show with incredible potential was done such a disservice with this pathetic ending. We were given no answers, and Red seriously died to a bull roaming a field in Spain? Whoever green lit the script for the finale episode should honestly just look for a different line of work. The past few episodes had the potential to set up an AMAZING ending. Instead they blew it in the finale as a final screw you to the loyal fans of the show. The last few minutes could've salvaged some it a bit if Red and Ressler maybe had one final deep conversation and/or we actually see the fate of the Task Force as advertised in the episode description.

The worst ending ever
ernftisav14 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Congrats...you ruined this show.

There is still so many questions we dont have an answer for it like: We don't know who is this who pretend to be raymond reddington. We don't know about his past with katarina rostova , we don't know about the archive that katarena was asking raymond for i think its called (archive n-47).

The ending was so fast we didn't even see the reaction of the task force when they saw raymond body and what will happen to them? Are they going to jail for helping a criminal or what ? They had 22 episodes to focus on "Raymond reddington" and his past and yet they focused on Siya mom ? Who cares ?

I wish they explain it in the future.

All that's missing is Journey's "Don't Stop Believin" playing over the last frames
printsofdarkness15 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This will likely be regarded by most as the worst finale imaginable. Red's end ignominious, not worthy of so formidable a character. My take is as the closing song expressed. He did it his way. I don't expect Red's post-retirement would be a peaceful existence, even having escaped successfully to the idyll of Spain. His last act on American soil killing a congressman ensured he would be looking over his shoulder the remainder of his life. This way, he dies perhaps not at the time or way of his choosing, but he never stares down the prospect of spending his last days in an 8x10 cell. It was foreshadowed Red had made his peace with whatever would befall him, barring arrest and incarceration, when Ressler returned to the villa, to find he had left his Browning in his room before he went for his walk. I liked how Red betrayed no sense of fear when he turned to face the bull in reaction to hearing the snarling and huffing. I even grinned at the comic aftermath of Red's demise, when we see the gnarled state of his corpse, post-goring. Consistent to the series' sardonic edge throughout.

The Loss of a Phenomenal TV show
tiggerden15 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Every single episode kept me interested, in love with Raymond and the team. This is truly a loss for Television. I have loved this show from the very first episode. The ending, lets get to that. It was thee most incredible ending (my opinion) I have ever seen. I still have tears in my eyes as I write this. James Spader, whim I love in everything he has done. Wolf (1994) Boston Legal is was absolutely incredible, Mr. Spader was also incredible.

To lose The Blacklist is like losing a friend. What an amazing storyline. I read where Mr. Spader chose to end the show with the loss of "Liz", "Aram" and a few others. The Blacklist what a Hit show. Why would actors jump ship?

As far as the ending, cannot watch it without tearing up. Loss of the show and "Raymond's" death was a lot to take in. The cast is incredible. The introduction of the new characters was awesome! I didn't even miss the old characters because the new one's more than replaced the one's who chose to leave.

The writing of the ending is beyond words. Red did it His Way. I will not disclose spoilers. I think I may have already done that.

James Spader's character was a never ending cycle of intrigue and fascination. I applaud each and every one of the actors on this show.

Series finale?
mariabellino15 July 2023
It was doing so good but it felt like the show just cut off. Expected more surrounding Keen, Aram should be at least mentioned + the answers to questions asked earlier. It was an amazing season finale, but didn't feel like a series finale the last 10 minutes. Yes, Ressler found Red which is full circle, but there was still so much unresolved that it felt unsatisfying. Perhaps Keen was meant to cover the gaps? This is why I think she shouldn't be killed of but rather just come back for the finale. Or if the actress can't, the illusion of it. Still, I only care this much because I will always love this show and everyone involved in it. Thank you for an amazing concept and can't wait to rewatch, once I get over this.

Ok?
idrincon9 August 2023
Mixed emotions here.

I believe there was an intent to give the end a poetic touch. And it did.

But on the other hand for those of us that invested 10 years following the stories, the end needed more closure. The series had so many interesting storylines that were left completely unfinished.

Yes, Redington was the star of the show but there were many interesting characters that deserved some closing.

I liked the fact it wasn't a predictable end (like a guns blazing battle or a friend betraying a friend and finally bringing Red to justice), but they went to far to made it just about the end of Red.

Are they leaving things open for a spin off? A made for TV movie to close the loop? Perhaps.

absolute worst ending in the history of television
don_dark_014 July 2023
Are they kidding me?! This has got to be the absolute worst ending in the history of television! Seriously, what the hell were they thinking when they came up with this garbage? It's a complete and utter betrayal of everything we've invested in over the course of ten seasons.

After all the incredible stories, the moments that touched our hearts, and the intense situations we went through with these characters, they have the audacity to give us this pathetic excuse for an ending? It defies all logic and common sense!

I can't wrap my head around the sheer stupidity of it all. How could they ruin something so epic and ruinous with such a mind-numbingly terrible conclusion? I'm at a loss for words!

It's like they purposely set out to destroy everything we loved about the show. I can't even begin to imagine how they thought this ending would be acceptable. It's beyond comprehension!

I am absolutely livid. We deserved so much better than this. After investing our time, energy, and emotions into this series, this is the thanks we get? It's a slap in the face!

I'm seething with anger just thinking about it. This is an absolute travesty, and I can't believe they had the nerve to deliver such a colossal disappointment. I'm beyond frustrated and utterly disgusted.

Reddington did it his way
bmiller5914 July 2023
Great ending for The Blacklist, great ending. This final episode went all over the place. I had so many scenarios thought out, but didn't see this ending coming. I liked how Red tied things up with all those who's paths he crossed, well not everyone, but those or him who really counted.

This has to be one of the best shows I have ever watched. The writers kept us, the audience, on the edges of our seats. I knew this final episode was going to come and I was not looking forward to it. I'm trying to be very judicious in what I say about the details, I do not want to spoil this last episode.

Yea, we all know this is the finale, but I had no idea it would end like this. I can hear so many of the fans feeling they got ripped off, and what a poor ending it was. Not me. I can hear, just like my wife said "is that it, is that all we are getting?" But as the Gypsy Kings we're singing in the background, Reddington did it his way. My rating is due only to the fact that we will not be enjoying this fantastic show. I thought when Liz died that would be the death of The Blacklist, but no.

WOW! Really going to miss this show.

Overall. Meh.
Jarjer951425 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Since Keen died the show has kind of spun its wheels and struggle with continuity as well the attitudes that the characters have with each other. Throughout the season the task force folks pretend to be shocked at Red's behavior and criminal enterprises. Which is especially rich from Denbe and Wressler who have plenty of blood on both of their hands. They've also worked with Red for ten years at this point, there shouldn't be surprised by everything. But I digress.

It seemed that about half way through the season they were informed that it would be the last and started setting up Red dismantling his enterprise piece by piece in a somewhat sad way. It was like watching a friend succumb slowly to a terminal illness, getting their affairs in order preparing for the inevitable.

The finale included a lot of they favorite cliche's of Red, a moment with Agnes, the obligatory car crash prison break, Red gunning someone down without hesitation, and saving someone's life. You can see these tropes repeated several times throughout the series and they pay homage to it in this finale. Ultimately Red, knowing that his illness will soon spell his end goes out on his own terms. Denbe's monologue about Red's life is perfect.

The flip side is that there were no answers to the big questions that fans had. There were no cameos from familiar faces that you would expect. Wressler upon finding Red's body shows no emotion whatsoever, and we're given no indication of what happened to the task force, whether they faced criminal charges, lived happily ever after, or what. We also didn't even get a reference to Elizabeth and Red's relationship which was the whole premise of the show through 8 seasons.

The biggest thing lacking from the finale was one final twist. The show always had an extra hook, something that you didn't see coming. This last episode was extremely predictable and it's how they set everything up.

Personally I would have had Red slip away one last time and arrive on the "backup plan" island that was mentioned previously. As he walks through the gates to his long overdue retirement he sees Elizabeth and her husband sitting in the courtyard she looks back at him and smiles and cut to black. Leave it as a mystery whether Red was in the hereafter or if they had both somehow faked their demises.

Night night
fmperiset15 July 2023
Over the last decade, The Blacklist has dominated popular entertainment with its interesting central premise, good action sequences, and iconic Reddington moments. I hope the following lines provide a useful opportunity to reflect critically and to clarify some possible misunderstandings.

Some people are praising the ending as a beautiful and moving sequence in the great finale. Let me say right off the bat that I found it to be a facile, clunky, and poorly filmed sequence with uninspired visuals and a frustrating lack of genuinely emotional momentum. The cinematography simply did not have the same resonance as in previous seasons. This aspect is, however, the least problematic aspect of this fatally flawed episode. Just as a point of clarification, please keep in mind that my argument is not simply an expression of dislike. I did indeed dislike the episode, but that is not what I am trying to justify here. My purpose is different, and perhaps even more ambitious. I am trying to provide an account of why this episode has creatively failed, and any assessment of the validity or lack thereof of the point I am trying to make should be made on those terms. To understand this point we need to turn to the very heart of this story (indeed, to the very heart of any story): the art of story-telling itself.

The first 5 or 6 seasons were thoroughly entertaining, and although there were highs and lows, the quality of its storytelling and well-developed characters sustained the interest in the show, with additional help from some surprising twists. Season 3 was an obvious highlight--it was the moment when the show made bold, original and exciting decisions and found its own identity. Things went a bit awry through most of seasons 7 and 8. It started to become obvious that the writers were stretching the plot a bit too far at times, but, generally speaking, the episodes were still watchable, and so I kept hoping the show would eventually know how to end. I was willing to give the series the benefit of the doubt. From the very first episode, the show has been held together by one fundamental question: what explains Red's interest in working with Liz? This was not a Liz only show nor was it a Red only show. It was always about these two characters together and about the mystery that connects them. True, most of us tuned in just to watch James Spader's charismatic criminal mastermind, but according to the way in which the entire show was framed, the show was for many years about the relationship between two people.

I know some people think that the fact that this season finale does not address this question is irrelevant. Let me be very clear: When you make those kinds of choices as a writer, you are entering a contract with your audience. Set-up and pay-off are two of the most basic structural notions in creative writing (see also the principle Chekov's gun), and they are so central to the craft for a reason: when used skilfully they bring satisfaction to the audience. Not only was the mystery of Red's identity a crucial plot point, it was also the central motivation of Red's character from beginning to end. Over the years, we met a man willing to do anything to protect Liz. Everything he had done had been for her. So why? The lack of an explanation automatically weakens the characterization, depth, and motivations of our central protagonist. The ending of Season 8 had a golden opportunity to end the series on a great note that would have provided much-needed explanations. But the show went in a different direction that contradicted the tone of the previous seasons and broke the fundamental promise the writers had made to their audience.

My point is not that audiences are not getting what they want. I am arguing that audiences are not getting what the series itself had, from its beginning, told us we needed. Why do we want answers? Because that is the main expectation the show set repeatedly season and after season, and a piece of writing that does not follow its own rules is not successful story-telling. A failure to deliver compromises the overall integrity and quality of the entire story. I am insisting so much on this point because it is so fundamental. James Spader's acting has been phenomenal since day 1, but at the end of the day, a story really boils down to its most essential elements, and these are elements that writers have complete creative control over. Actors and set pieces and special effects only work when they have good ideas and well-crafted scripts to build on. The decision not to reveal what was promised is not just about whether the writers have spent the last few years toying with the audience, it is about the consistency and success of the story itself, and it affects the overall impression of the series as a whole. It is disappointing to see that a show that had so much potential and was held together by careful planning has been derailed by poor creative decisions.

The Blacklist is one of many other textbook examples of what happens when corporate greed and the imperious need to prolong the show for one more season eventually work to the detriment of the final product. The creative team seemed to be more interested in getting renewed for just one more season than in actually delivering a worthy finale that people can revisit and remember fondly in the future. Thankfully, other shows like 'Fleabag', knew how to end properly. The Blacklist is not one of those. Red spent 30 years of his life building a criminal empire only to keep Liz safe, but it took only a few seasons of creative missteps to leave viewers with a bad taste in their mouths after watching the ending of what used to be a beloved show.

Leaving themes or big questions deliberately ambiguous is one thing. Making the motivations of the main character utterly unintelligible is quite another. There are certainly many thematic ambiguities in Shakespeare's 'Macbeth', but understanding the most basic aspects of the personality and characterization of Macbeth is not one of them. In an episode of the Big Bang Theory, Sheldon Cooper discusses TV Shows. He says "'Heroes' gradually lowered the quality season by season till we were grateful it ended". I am sorry to report that The Blacklist has now suffered a similar fate.

Night, night.

Just Died the way he wanted!

Warning: Spoilers
What a nice show!! One of my favorites since 24 and Blindspot! Hope to look for this kind of shows again.

Please look episode 13, minute 9:00 and you will understand this end, EPIC! How the writters didn't miss anything! I will missed this show, raymond and by far Elizabeth, great couple!

I would like to see what happens next with the team, since they don't have his main informant, they will return to their normal lives?

I hope the producers are working in a spin off for this show, tell us what happen with everybody, just a short episode to let us know about their lives.

James spader congrats!

Poorconclusiin to a great character.
simongrierson14 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Raymond Reddingtom is one of those iconic characters brought to life with James Spaders excellent acting.

However despite a gradual drip drip drip of information and guesswork fans were fed throughout all 10 series about Reddington and his true identity. All that was Ava dined. Was that because the character of Keene left the series 2 seasons ago? Or because the writers ran out of ideas? Or got bored with it?

There are so many satisfying alternatives to our favourite anti-hero's swan song that we could have had. I mean, breaking bad did it so much better wit Walter White!

I mean, he randomly walks into a random field and gets mowed down by a random bull. He literally ended with a Pun! "seeing red"

No tying up of loose threads, no payoff, no closure. Just Reddington in a bloody mess on the floor... (Leaving scope for a follow up movie? Or fan interpretation? Nobody confirmed his death...)

Warning: Spoilers
Don't get me wrong, Red dying was the only acceptable ending for his character, I get it... But trampled by a bull!? He could have just died of exhaustion, lying on the field, contemplating his life and choices... I bet people would find that much more acceptable, giving his condition. And that wasn't even worse, the ending was extremely abrupt! Don, completely emotionless, finds him and that's it, roll the credits... No aftermath, no wrapping of characters, nothing! We want to know what happens to all the characters, we don't want to guess. And speaking of, we all know the theory of whom Reddington really was, but after 10 years, the public deserved a concrete answer.

People are ruining the rating of this episode because they haven't paid attention!!!

If you wonder who Raymond Reddington is go back and watch the last episode of season 8 before you give your bitter 1 star! And pay attention to the hints throughout the series if you decide to rewatch it. This episode doesn't deserve an average of 6.5!!!!!!

I have loved watching this show and I'm really going to miss James Spader's Reddington. He is such an elaborate character, one of a kind and he made the show the success it was.

It was a fitting ending like some people wrote and I agree with them. Despite some disappointing episodes in previous seasons the last season was good in general and the ending felt like it gave closure and put the show "to sleep".
