Secrets to be revealed or not?

I was fortunate enough to see Desideratum on the big screen in front of a sellout crowd at a recent film festival. Mark Prendergast plays the smug yet demanding priest with a golden skeleton in his closet, wishing to impose his authority on a unwilling although forcefully coerced Dr Campbell!

There were no shortage of laughs as the film progressed, keeping the audience guessing at what twists and turns would unfold next. Secrets and unexpected series of events are abound in this gripping short - no shortage of confidential affairs of all kinds that the characters fight tooth and nail to keep under wraps! Hats off to the writer (KC Connolly) on coming up with this fine and quirky piece which emanates an upbeat and cheerful tone!

Packed with humor and humanity

This was a uniquely dark and charming short with sharp writing and cleverly executed visuals.

Everybody wants something, and everyone has an exploitable secret in Desideratum. It's dark, small-town sense of humor hits the mark on point with fabulous, dynamic characters.

I actually laughed outright watching the film. The characters are brilliant, interesting, human, hilarious, and the performances give credence to the eclectic ensemble. Purely enjoyable.

Desideratum is also great to look at. Beautifully shot with a gorgeous color pallet and well-placed dramatic visual moments. If you get the chance, watch it on a big screen.
