Lamorne Morris’ three-year-old daughter is getting used to seeing her dad’s face all over town. Morris is the spokesperson for Bmo bank, which recently arrived in Southern California with an advertising blitz — all with Morris’ face on it.
Now, the actor says she’s ready to start her creative career as well. Sort of. He tells Variety‘s Awards Circuit Podcast that whenever his daughter gets in trouble at school, they send her home a bit early and she gets to join her dad at work. And that’s where the fun begins.
“She’s now quite accustomed to being on set,” Morris said. “When the Ad will say quiet on set or rolling, she will start to let everyone know that it’s time to be quiet on set. So much so that she’s now the loud one. She won’t stop screaming: ‘Quiet on set!'...

You would be forgiven for mistaking Hannah Einbinder for Ava Daniels, the character she plays on HBO’s Hacks. The actor shares certain similarities with the comedy writer she’s portrayed for two seasons now, like their dry delivery, which leaves you less than 100 percent sure of whether they’re fucking with you until they crack a smirk and let you in on the joke. That’s not all, though.
“We’re both the same age, and we have the same face and body, of course,” Einbinder shares. “She looks exactly like me.

Ahead of starring in SNL 1975, Jason Reitman’s period comedy feature, Kaia Gerber is getting a feel for Studio 8H.
Gerber joined her Palm Royale co-star Kristen Wiig in a sketch on this evening’s SNL.
Wiig, celebrating her fifth time hosting the long-running NBC show, played a psychotic instructor in a movie trailer skit for the horror film Pilates.
From the creator of Saw X and marketing director for Alo, comes a chilling new look at girl horror, said the trailer before showing Wiig push around a group of cast members including Chloe Fineman, Sarah Sherman, Bowen Yang and Heidi Gardner.
Gerber, who will play Jacqueline Carlin in SNL 1975, popped up to say “This is randomly so easy.” Not a huge surprise for the model and daughter of Cindy Crawford.

Directors are lining up left and right each month to share their favorite films from the TCM lineup, and the latest is Jason Reitman. He follows Steven Spielberg going deep on “Meet Me in St. Louis,” Martin Scorsese praising “Madonna of the Seven Moons,” Guillermo del Toro making the case why overlooked “Suspicion” is top-tier Hitchcock, and so many more.
IndieWire simply loves directors sharing their favorite films and paying tribute to the directors and screenwriters behind them. And that enthusiasm comes across loud and clear in “SNL 1975” director Reitman’s picks. First up, Reitman, whose always had an ear for dialogue himself, talks about what’s so great about the patter in Barry Levinson’s “Diner.”

The SNL 1975 casting news continues to pour in. Willem Dafoe is the latest addition to the feature film that’s set behind the scenes of Saturday Night Live’s series premiere.
Deadline reports that Dafoe will play David Tebet, the network executive and press agent who served as NBC’s vp of talent relations from 1959-1979. Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan conducted an extensive series of interviews with the living cast, writers and crew of the first-ever episode of Saturday Night Live, which aired on October 11, 1975 on NBC and has been going ever since. The result of their efforts is Sony Pictures’ upcoming SNL 1975, a movie retelling the story of that night.
The pic, which Reitman and Kenan co-wrote and which Reitman is directing, tells the chaotic behind-the-scenes story of what happened that first night, just before the live cameras clicked on to launch a late-night institution and a slew of eventual stars among the young, mostly unknown troupe of comedians including John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Chevy Chase and Gilda Radner, all under the watchful eye of creator Lorne Michaels.

J.K. Simmons has joined the cast of Jason Reitman’s SNL 1975, and not only will the Oscar winner be playing Hollywood legend Milton Berle, but he’ll have the notable distinction of becoming the first actual SNL host to join the cast of the Sony movie.
Simmons hosted the Jan. 31, 2015 episode of Saturday Night Live, which featured D’Angelo as the musical guest. At the time, Simmons was riding high off an Oscar nomination for Whiplash, and he would go on to win the Academy Award following his SNL hosting stint.
Meanwhile, Berle hosted SNL on April 14, 1979, and Ornette Coleman was his musical guest. It’s unclear where Berle fits into Reitman’s movie at this moment in time.

When Gil Kenan co-wrote Ghostbusters: Afterlife with his creative partner Jason Reitman, they knew full well that they were penning a touching tribute to Ghostbusters co-creator Harold Ramis and his character of Egon Spengler. Upon the release of Afterlife in November 2021, they ramped up their efforts to crack the story that would eventually become its sequel, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, however, just a few months later, another Ghostbusters co-creator, Ivan Reitman, passed away, turning Frozen Empire into an homage to the beloved filmmaker.
As it turned out, Kenan and Jason Reitman had the chance to share their Frozen Empire story outline with Ivan before he passed on.
“We pitched an almost complete version of this film’s story outline to Ivan before his passing, and that was really meaningful,” Kenan tells The Hollywood Reporter. “Obviously, we didn’t know that he wouldn’t be with us for the film, but his...

Finn Wolfhard is counted among the most talented young actors right now. A breakout star of “Stranger Things”, he is known for more than just his acting chops. His signature curly mane became a character itself alongside his portrayal of Mike Wheeler.
Finn Wolfhard || Stranger Things
But what many fans might not know is that those iconic curls weren’t entirely natural. While Wolfhard sported his own impressive locks throughout much of the series, there were times when hair extensions were used for the actor at such a young age. But the story behind these extensions is more than just a hairstyling choice – it’s actually quite amusing.

The 2007 John C. Reilly comedy Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story has become a cult hit in recent years, largely as a result of the skill with which it dissects and eviscerates the genre it satirizes.
The film so deftly laid bare the tropes and cliches of the rock star biopic that many predicted it would forever change the way filmmakers approached stories about dead celebs.
And for a while, it seemed like the trick had worked.
Leaving aside for a moment any discussion about the quality of these films, there's no denying that Elvis, Blonde, Maestro, Jackie, Priscilla, and Oppenheimer all offered new takes on a very familiar subgenre.
(That last one, admittedly, is a bit of an outlier, as we're not sure if a theoretical physicist -- even one who altered the course of world history -- can properly be called a celebrity.)
But in recent years, the...

One Of Succession's Greatest Monsters Is Playing The Beloved Creator Of The Muppets In The SNL Movie
Jim Henson was a creative force of nature whose singular creative achievement continues to enchant adults and children alike 34 years after his tragically untimely death. Indeed, whether they're teaching us to count or goofing around with flesh-and-blood movie stars, we need the Muppets now more than ever. They're felt, furry joy machines that reflect their creator's humanistic vision of the world.

The NCIS writers used a familiar trope to introduce a new character on Monday night.
FBI Agent Rose began the new episode as an adversary to the NCIS team, much like how former FBI Agent Alden Parker was situated when he was first introduced.
Parker was tasked with tracking down and arresting Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon). Rose was tasked with proving the guilt of Agent Nick Torres in a murder case.
Parker eventually saw that Gibbs and how he did his job was necessary. He turned from being an adversary to becoming an integral part of NCIS.
Rose began NCIS Season 21, Episode 1, as someone at odds with the NCIS team, but by the end of the hour, she was helping them out.
In the final moments of the season premiere, Rose followed Parker to NCIS, taking on a new job for Director Vance (Rocky Carroll).
Who plays Agent Rose on the NCIS cast?...
