- Being that this is of educational nature and the profanity is necessary to describe the rough nature, and there is no sexual or drug content, these are albums and videos families can listen to and see together, and parents can talk to their kids about the realities and consequences of living such a life. But it's not for kids to see alone.
- As with any rap group of that time, Rodney King-hating, and the rappers are intimidating. But what makes them truly intimidating is that they lived the life, and paid the consequences, and they're trying to steer young people away from that life and its consequences.

- The first verse revolves around a kid who was involved in the gangsta life. He gets shot, although nothing is seen. In the second verse, it involves a shooting on a basketball court, it's graphic (although no blood) but we see the kid shoot (we don't see the boy shot, but we see his dead body)
- Towards the end of the song, during the last chorus, we see a prisoner shank (stab) another prisoner. Graphic. But no blood.
Profanity
- However, the last monologue by the prisoners to the troubled youth is edited out, regardless of version. Likely because it was from WWOR channel 9, 2 or 3 years before it became the UPN flagship, or WNYW (Fox) 5 news footage. The rest of the song/video is uncensored.
