I may have added an embellishment

Warning: Spoilers
Mike (Michael Parle) and Luke (Jack Dean-Shepherd) are arsonist who are in a home which they have been contracted to burn down by the owner for the insurance money. They need to wait until a specific time and during the interim tell tales. Mike tells a story about an archaeological/scientific find and Luke tells a story about a blood sucking device used by a sex broker. As always in these movies, the end brings things together with a twist.

I really like the ending. The problem was it was a long and boring road to get there filled with mediocre acting and sleepy dialogue.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity

Irish indie horror effort

Warning: Spoilers
NIGHT PEOPLE is a typical and generic indie horror flick with sci-fi touches. It was made in Ireland which could have meant some local charm but instead this is just content to copy Hollywood themes and tropes. The story has two thieves breaking into a sinister house where two further stories are told. It's cheap and dark throughout, with the occasional good idea spoilt by the director being more interested in delivering arty imagery over concrete narrative. As such it all becomes quite confusing.

Interesting watch

Although this film left me with a lot of questions, it kept me watching. Very nice soundtrack too. Worth a watch, I saw it on amazon. And I need to write more so here we go. It has special effects, lots of picturesque shots of what I assume is Ireland, and many plot twists and turns. There's something very haunting about the film, maybe the soundtrack did it, but the lighting also adds a very ethereal ambiance to everything. The budget constraints are clear, so I can't really complain about certain obvious problems with the overall delivery, but the film's look, plot and sound are something I haven't seen come out of Ireland yet. Perhaps this director is part of the Irish New Wave I'm hearing about. Very original and worth a look!
