Visually pompous, story-wise non-existent

Warning: Spoilers
"DragonBall Z: The Saiyan Saga" is a 5-minute short film from 3 years ago and from the title you already see that this is a group of fans giving us their live action take on the famous "Dragon Ball Z" saga. I am not too much of a fan of that one, but I am always curious about fan-made projects, so why not check out the Kirbies' approach here. The result is underwhelming. As much as it may deliver in terms of costumes, makeup and special effects, as empty it is in terms of the story. And apart from that, the really messed up Piccolo's makeup in my opinion. He looked so ridiculous. Anyway, this one if only worth a watch for completionists of everything that has to do with "Dragon Ball Z" and great fans of the show may even be offended by the weak quality of this short film. Huge audience numbers on Youtube do not equal quality. Not recommended and no need to turn this very short film into a series.
