Not for everyone, but definitely for me

I will admit - this brand/niche of comedy is not for everyone. But if you are a former theatre kid, neurodivergent, gay, witchy, or just someone who likes truly silly comedy, you will enjoy this special. I am biased because I've seen Chris perform live and have never laughed so hard in one night in my life, but this comedy special felt like a delightful revisiting to that level of absolute silly whimsical comedy where everyone gets to feel like they're in on the joke. The silly songs sprinkled throughout along with rolling on the floor and dancing around the stage makes for a delightful watching experience. It was also quite a lovely surprise to see Victoria Pedretti in one of the sketches.

TLDR - definitely not for everyone, but if you go in expecting something silly and fun and just a little out there, you'll probably enjoy it.

Not Really That Good!

It looked like it had a little promise - but sadly - it really wasn't very good. I wanted to like it, but no - it really wasn't that good. Now then I'm going to repeat that - because pickles are made from cucumbers and I need to hit the minimum character setting - while at the same time, I've already said enough - it wasn't that great. A.I. writing wins.

I... just don't know where to begin. A Billy Joel joke, then Obama and Springsteen... this guy's finger is not on the pulse - not this decade, nor the previous one really.

Filler-comedy act from the 90s - if there was a proper film deal (not this overblown "special"), that's where and when it was.

There's maybe a 2nd-5th rate Mike Myers in here wanting to get out. I suspect the audience wanted out even more ...and speaking of which, I'm not even sure there was an audience actually watching this. At the point you're speculating if the laughter is dubbed and the audience CGI it's time to switch off.

By the time I finished typing this, he'd moved on to a joke about Pink - that's the closest we get to topical/relevant material. Judging by the charisma from this guy, it's taken that time to scratch together "enough" good material to do a whole show.
